There seems to be a slight confusion for me using this Rapidshare. I read on Digg that Rapidshare is now reducing their daily download limit from 10Gb to 2.66Gb and even my friends who are premium users themselves are experiencing it.. but why is mine still 10Gb per day? (I downloaded some stuff for today so its 8Gb left) one of my friends say that there are 2 types of accounts, original ones and hacked ones... then he said smtg abt the hacked ones are the 10Gb ones.. RS also got hacked account meh?

QUOTE(Shah_15 @ Nov 21 2008, 01:38 AM) J-Slade, thats happen because you didn't download reach your limit for one day. RS will accumulated it and bring it to next day. Example if today you don't downloaded anything, your 2.66gb will bring to next day so you get 5GB. Oh that makes more sense... so the carry forward is capped at 10Gb? But I saw this msg somewhere in the login page something about my limit will be 10Gb till the expiration date. Is it because the carry forward from previous previous months?

@ IcedNyior, Shah_15, keretapir thank you guys for your explanation... yikes, now i see the issues with RS and how they're trying to save their bandwidth my expiration coming soon in march already i hope by then they change their policy. Ya know, those people in other countries are more affected cos their ISP provides much faster than our 1mb streamyx. those guys can download like 1Mb/s? Imagine them who can download fast, surely 2.66Gb a day is not enough for them.

Currently I'm on 1mb streamyx but I can get a max download speed of 220kBps but using Orbit Downloader the download speed kinda unstable it goes up and down and most of the time it hovers around 140kBps... is there any other download manager u guys would recommend?
Is IDM like stable in getting max speeds?

I've just switched from Orbit Downloader to IDM. Seems that IDM is more efficient is utilizing the max bandwidth but the scheduler is slightly confusing

QUOTE(FarCry3r @ Nov 24 2008, 08:50 PM) Lol, stop it already, vorchiel said he/she already got the email in one week... maybe the number of blocked account is overzealous and support personnel is lesser than 5 ppl... I think the more you guys bombard them with mail, the more they lazy to layan your request.. i mean c'mon, i see someone spam my office mail like that i'll straight away ignore it

Well, I tried IDM, liked it for a while but then I changed back to Orbit after all. I feel that IDM is lacking in its user-friendly-ness for scheduling downloads.
In Orbit, you just need to set the limit of downloads at the same time and it will auto configure for you. For IDM, you need to run the scheduler which I don't understand why it needs to be separated in a new window from the application.
On a last night, there was 3 links left downloading on my IDM which was running very slow no matter how many times I stop and restart the download. I deleted those tasks and reinstall Orbit and re-added those 3 links again and its downloading at full speed now.
My Verdict: For those of you whom are using Orbit, better stick to Orbit. Not worth moving over.
