do you guys download 1 part or 10 part in one go?
*
depending on the speed, if full speed of 140kB+, usually 1 at a time, comes to the same thing at the end whether u open 1 part or 10 part

QUOTE(TeK_KeN @ Dec 16 2008, 02:22 PM)

Shah_15

its originated from only 1 IP which isĀ  the IP im currently logged right now.. I did not do any remote upload..

woke up > check Prison Break & Heroes new episode > download those 2 episode.. > watched it... > try to download sarah connor chronicles BUT only halfway.. my traffic limit has reach..

darn!
*
hmm, try downloading a single 100mb file tomorrow, see how much of bandwidth taken
if problem still persist where the bandwidth used is significantly more than wat it should be, email RS Support

QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Dec 16 2008, 05:18 PM)
To save your precious RS traffic, go for .MKV and .RM/.RMVB. It's smaller in size, but the quality is the same!
*
who says .mkv is smaller in size?
usually mkv is larger, but has higher quality, for low/medium quality release and general playability, most ppl release in avi.
try viewing rmvb in large screen, and i want to see if u still said the same bout the quality.
the film is so grainy that's it's pointless to even downlaod it in the first place
besides, most tv series release in avi or mkv, mkv is the higher quality files that might go up to 1gb...
save bandwidth???

I have two question here,
1. Is it possible to log in to more than 1 RS account in our web browser at the same time?
2. Can we download RS files using more than 1 RS acc in download manager?  icon_question.gif
*
web browser no, not sure bout download manager
cos they use cookie, once u logged in the cookie stay in ur browser till you log out

yes, if the limitation is on streamyx side, which is the case in most recent complaints bout slow speed
but then, it also depends on the proxy server traffic

well set ur RS settings to direct download, then set your download manager to auto start
then copy the links into your home column for IE or Firefox
click home, your download manager should auto capture them

I have a major problem guys. Yesterday i just bought Rapidshare Premium account and my download speed is like 10KB/sec . Wtf.  blink.gif
*
usually it's limitation by streamyx
try restarting ur modem to get a better ip range, 60.*.*.* if possible
also, set ur preferred download RS server to global crossing 1 and 2 in their settings page

most probably some phished account, or even if ppl share it, there's something you have to do in return, like uploading stuffs for them etc

no such thing as free account
wat's available is collector's account, where u can upload stuffs for ppl to download, then use the points gathered to get a premium account

i don't really think it's their problem
i have been using global crossing 2, global crossing 1 and teleglobe as my 3 server choice, all full speed all the way, except when there's really problem with their server, for 1 or 2 files where the server is unreachable
but tat problem was fixed within hours
speed has nv been an issue when i use these 3 servers, so i think it's TM's fault

ok..i hv tested this on my TM line back home & my frens maxisBB..
if the file downloaded from cogent.. (note by h**p://rs143cg.rapidshare..... look at the cg..cg = Cogent)
the speed terribly slow..i get 5-15kbps from this server.re-request that link again, got other servers (i.e. level-3,global crossing etc. etc.) & i get near 100kbps on TM & 40-50kbps on maxisBB.. (mind that i only queue 1 file at a time,no surfing atm..)

btw,any1 hv other alternative for proxy?i cant use ultrasurf at my uni.got 10kbps max... help!

LOL
your siggy said boycott RS, but you are still using
