Try check Positioning server setting. Make sure you set correct Access Point for it

Mind to elaborate more? where should i go to reach the Positioning server setting? and what is the correct Access Point for it?
Go to Tools-Settings-General-Positioning-Positioning Server-Access Point

You should choose according to ur telco. This is the most important part for Assisted-GPS

QUOTE(ihatework @ Jan 4 2009, 10:34 AM)
how do I backup the locations that I have saved on the Garmin software?
*
In Garmin, go to Tools - Manage My Data - Manage (Left Soft Key) - Export GPX

Keep your E:\Garmin\GPX\current.gpx in the safe place.

In case anything happen, use "Import GPX" to restore back your saved location

Yeap, when I first installed, with AGPS, I can detect stattelite in 10sec, but after I disable it, it took like 30 sec to 3 min to detect sattelite.
*
One more thing, you can use Nokia own GPS tool that is "GPS Data" app to test GPS connectivity. Much easier to test how fast your GPS lock to satellite.
Once your GPS lock to satellite, you can see Digital Compass in Navigation Menu

Anyone using 2GB MicroSD which bundled with N82 got abit lag when in message?
*
I'm still using it and no lag. Because I backup my SMS regularly to TXT and CSV file.

Still waiting for Sandisk 16GB Class 6 Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC to arrive at Malaysia

...which makes me wonder how are those like N85 [supplied with 8GB] and N96 [built in 16GB] users feel when transferring massive data
*
I'm also N95 8GB user. Transfer rate is very frustrating. I preferred using Wifi when transferring massive data. and much faster

Well, basically you have to put operator logo to this folder in your phone:

C:\Private\10000850\

Logo you have to create your self...
That Hotlink logo, I created and modifed my self.

Different file name for different operator. Example for:

Maxis/Hotlink = Logo_502_17_OTA.mbm
Celcom/Xpax = Logo_502_19_OTA.mbm
Digi/Happy = Logo_502_16_OTA.mbm

If your phone already... ahem ahem... (V20 or below) much more easier. You can use OpLogo Changer v.0.02a

If not, that is V30... then you have to copy the files manually using Phoenix software...
very troublesome.

And one more thing... AFAIK that logo doesn't support transparent backgroud. I use black background. So u have to use black theme

even it uses USB2.0 [12Mbps or 1.5 MBps], it still never cranks up to above 1 MBps, even my iPod Shuffle 1st gen offer faster transfer speed, should I say W800i as well sweat.gif
*
For N82 , you can use card reader to transfer you files. That mean you can transfer faster than data cable.
For N95 8GB, you stuck with data cable to transfer you files. doh.gif

Facts:

USB 1.1 Speed:
Low Speed Device = 1.5Mbps
Full Speed Device = 12Mbps

USB 2.0 Speed:
Low Speed Device = 1.5Mbps
Full Speed Device = 12Mbps
Hi Speed Device = 480Mbps

You can refer to
USB 2.0 Hi Speed USB FAQ

can i do the phoenix software wif windows vista?? as mentioned on page 1, only xp works for now.
*
I'm not sure bcoz I'm using XP.

Actually I'm trying to ahem ahem my N82 V30... using page 1 method, but no success.. cannot write to C:\sys\bin...but can read..

So, I try access Private folder.... and I can read and write... so I transfer my logo file from my N95 8GB to my N82 and voila...

I got new colour operator logo.

I got this problem after 2 week I bought this phone. I tried everything, but still same. I can play and view picture/video taken before.

After that I sent my N82 to repair. It took about 3 weeks.

Still mystery to me.. rclxub.gif

QUOTE(xiang88 @ Jan 8 2009, 11:10 PM)
err dude , my themes installed not in the app manager. so how now??
someone pls help me @@
*
Remove themes that don't appear in the application manager from your memory card (no ahem ahem needed)

Sometimes you install a theme, want to remove it, and are unable to because the theme doesn't show up in the application manager. You can remove these themes yourself.

You'll need access to your memory card from your computer by bluetooth, USB cable, or card reader.

1) Connect your phone to your computer in data transfer mode (a.k.a. mass storage). Do NOT choose PC Suite mode.

2) Tell your computer to show hidden files and folders.

3) Navigate to \private\10207114\import on your memory card.

4) Browse the subfolders of \private\10207114\import. The .mbm, .mif, and .skn files in each folder usually have the same name as the theme itself.

5) If the names of the files do not look like the theme name at all, open the .skn file in a text editor like Notepad. The name of the theme is somewhere in the first one or two lines of text.

6) When you've located the folder of the "missing" theme, remove all files in it. Do NOT remove the folder itself, only remove the files.

7) If you have new firmware, you'll also find bits and pieces of the theme in the folder \resource\skins. Remove the files from there as well.

I also got the same problem long time ago. Installed too many theme and don't know which one you like.
Then I search Google and found the solution.

Normally folder \private\10207114 is for theme

Yup, under \private\10207114\import folder.

For each sub folder inside import folder represent different theme
