Does anyone know how to turn off the lil red video recording light w/o 3rd party software.

I like pretenting im trying to get a good picture shot and making ppl pose for me when im actually recording it.

Im using an AP N82 (black), btw.


Also my phone keeps getting stuck/jamming (1st time nokia user ) when i first got it. They pre-installed some proggies.(No, its not 2nd hand, bought full package for RM 1340) I hard-reseted my phone and formated my memory card. Now it occasionally still jams up, especially after i exit nokia maps
The gprs icon at the top left corner in stand by would flash and my phone would be irresponsive..... And i'd have to remove my silicon cover, the back cover and the battery... my silicon cover is getting disorted....

Any tips?


oh and how long does it takes to fully charge the phone from a completely flat battery? my n82 is really fast compared to my K550i, drains super fast too...

Around 1.5 hour for a full charge, can last a 3 or 4 days with little use. Mine doesn't lag, at least not frequent, just once in a blue moon perhaps.

there's some prob wif the nokia maps if u're using v30 firmware
if u doesnt noe how to check firmware, check first page. there shud b sufficient info for u
if u're really using v30 firmware(latest), there're 2 solutions for u.

1. use another gps application e.g garmin, tomtom..etc
2. install an older version of nokia maps
*if u found another working solution, do tell us *

alot of us are using garmin (including myself)

for the charge from flat..1 hour++ shud do it

in the process of getting garmin.. it had mapking pre-installed but i never got to use it

Lol... you can't compare battery life for SE phone and Nokia phone. SE can easily last for 3 days with medium usage. For symbian phone, medium usage is about 1.5 day.

i think what the web mean by infrared is the red light that focusing when we take picture in low light condition =) i read in a blog said that N82 using infrared for focusing in low light condition =)

take a look at the xenon flash, on the right of it, there's a small circle, that's the infrared =) but of course can't use to transfer data, hehe.... hope can be useful.

I've installed garmin mobile xt but i cant use it with built-in gps. What should i do so that i can use it with n82's built-in gps?

I'm using garmin XT and it's fine. the GPS receiver is slow depends on weather.
