Dug this out from N73 Thread and edited lol~

1. install NSS "Virtual USB Device"
2. open the program and click on the "scan for devices" button
3. click on the "phone info" icon (the one with the Nokia 6600 as the picture)
4. click on "scan" and then "read"
5. change the product code to "0551532"
6. close NSS and open NSU (Nokia Software Updater)
7. update your firmware
8. volia! chinese support on your Nokia N82

Happened to my N95 too. Luckily I'm using Phoenix to revive the phone. I just follow step by step from internet.

I won't be that crazy to own a Nokia N96. About the keypad on Nokia N82, at first you may not used to it, but the longer you use its a piece of cake. It is crazy to own a phone worth RM3K+ just you want to have a king handphone. If your precious Nokia N96 being stolen, then you sure sakit hati wor.

Nokia N82 is a perfect phone for now. Taking photos is still the best among the phones with LED flash. I would buy a laptop with moderate specs for RM3K not a handphone. Just my 2 cents.

yeah and have you notice the idiots at mobole world magazine actually put the N96 (non-xenon flash) in number one position followed by viewty, n95 8gb then only n82 hmm.gif

Yes I experienced that twice, first time updating to a Euro V30, i was scared, it askes me to take out battery blablabla then reconnect.

Second time was updating to APAC v30, samething happened.

But then I was able to switch on the phone though. U cant on the phone?

i'also experience difficulties when upgrading to v30. using windows vista. the updater ask to take out the battery n reconnect. i suspect its the vista OS because using n73 n update using windows xp, never had any problem.

lucky my n82 survive and updated successfully after reconnect during update..
