Well, basically you have to put operator logo to this folder in your phone:

C:\Private\10000850\

Logo you have to create your self...
That Hotlink logo, I created and modifed my self.

Different file name for different operator. Example for:

Maxis/Hotlink = Logo_502_17_OTA.mbm
Celcom/Xpax = Logo_502_19_OTA.mbm
Digi/Happy = Logo_502_16_OTA.mbm

If your phone already... ahem ahem... (V20 or below) much more easier. You can use OpLogo Changer v.0.02a

If not, that is V30... then you have to copy the files manually using Phoenix software...
very troublesome.

And one more thing... AFAIK that logo doesn't support transparent backgroud. I use black background. So u have to use black theme

can i do the phoenix software wif windows vista?? as mentioned on page 1, only xp works for now.

even it uses USB2.0 [12Mbps or 1.5 MBps], it still never cranks up to above 1 MBps, even my iPod Shuffle 1st gen offer faster transfer speed, should I say W800i as well sweat.gif
*
For N82 , you can use card reader to transfer you files. That mean you can transfer faster than data cable.
For N95 8GB, you stuck with data cable to transfer you files. doh.gif

Facts:

USB 1.1 Speed:
Low Speed Device = 1.5Mbps
Full Speed Device = 12Mbps

USB 2.0 Speed:
Low Speed Device = 1.5Mbps
Full Speed Device = 12Mbps
Hi Speed Device = 480Mbps

USB 2.0 Hi Speed USB FAQ

I'm not sure bcoz I'm using XP.

Actually I'm trying to ahem ahem my N82 V30... using page 1 method, but no success.. cannot write to C:\sys\bin...but can read..

So, I try access Private folder.... and I can read and write... so I transfer my logo file from my N95 8GB to my N82 and voila...

I got new colour operator logo.

i tot N82 antenna is bad... blush.gif

anyway i got few trick for better GPS reception...

For car
a) Dont use handphone holder!!!
>> this will block the GPS signal
b) Place your phone next to windscreen and dashboard, u need a "sticky cloth" on the dashboard to hold the phone
>> this way the phone can stand firmly and u can have the full GPS signal coverages
>> note: do not open your window, else there is possibility the phone will slide out sweat.gif
c) Heavy tinted windscreen will degrade the GPS signal

WARNING
You might face danger to yourself or other people if your phone drop while you are driving and you lost your concentration.

dont said i didnt warn u sweat.gif

My phone holder is in the middle of the windscreen, I didnt put it at the driver side because if matrempit comes by, they will smash the window and take my phone away.

I have been using phone holder and it works perfectly. All I need to do is set the location I want to go, place it at the holder, then it will show waiting for better satelite signal (something like that), then after a few mins it will start navigating smile.gif

What player are u using? Real Player?

Try Core Player because there are limitation using Real Player (resolution, bitrate).

However isnt it a little too much ? 1.5GB file.

If you plan to use TVOUT function on a normal TV, encode it to 320x240 @ 15FPS or VCD quality will be GOOD enough.

I encoded high quality video with 320x240 resolution and tried TVOUT to normal TV using real player, quality is good enough~

Hi, Im still playing around with my new N82, ..I saved all my video files to "My Videos" folder on the MMC under subfolders, when I did this the Video centre cannot see any files.

I found out that nly the file which is directly under the root directory (E:/My Videos) can be seen from the Video Centre. Seems to me the Video Centre cannot see subfolders, Is this normal?

Then, how do you guys organize your videos ...? (coz I have so many and they are everywhere)

Many-many thanks, sifuz.. icon_question.gif

It will display blackscreen for a while then a flash charging symbol appear and that is a normal case. Since N82 is using Xenon Flash its real flash and not those normal LED, hence it need to recharge before you can use it.

The same thing applies to Digital Camera as well.

I got this problem after 2 week I bought this phone. I tried everything, but still same. I can play and view picture/video taken before.

After that I sent my N82 to repair. It took about 3 weeks.

Still mystery to me.. rclxub.gif
