In case anything happen, use "Import GPX" to restore back your saved location

One more thing, you can use Nokia own GPS tool that is "GPS Data" app to test GPS connectivity. Much easier to test how fast your GPS lock to satellite.Once your GPS lock to satellite, you can see Digital Compass in Navigation Menu
