LYN Hot Wheels Guide.

General Info.

1. Carded - Cars that are still intact in their packaging.

2. Loose - Cars that are taken out of their packaging.

3. Waves - Various Hot Wheels cars that you will find hanging in the rack of your local store for a certain period of time.

4. Mixes - Cars that are available in a certain wave. Each mix technically will have a different assortment of cars. Although, this doesn't determine whether the next wave will be different or the same wave as the previous.

Product Info.

1. Single - Mainline cars that are sold one by one & are displayed on the racks (see Additional Info for details on mainline cars).

2. Special Series.

Gift Packs - Cars (usually more than 1) that are decorated to meet a certain theme (similar too the mainline Segment Series) & packed in special boxes to be used as gifts for certain occasions.

Others - Cars that are fixed on a theme (eg. Ferrari Racer - only Ferrari cars are released in this series).


Additional Info.

1. First Editions - Cars that debut on the mainline whether it is based on real-life vehicles or from the imagination of the Hot Wheels designers team.

2. T-Hunt$/T-Hunts - Consist of 12 cars ever year, 1 released per month (sort of.. sweat.gif ). The cars are specially decorated to attract collectors. In 2007, a two-tiered system was introduced. A T-Hunt(s) also known as regulars will feature normal paint & wheels. A Thunt($) also known as supers like past T-Hunts (before '07) will feature premium rubber wheels & spectraflame paint.

3. Track Stars - Cars that are designed exclusively to be raced on Hot Wheels track sets.

4. Segment Series - Cars that are designed to meet with a certain theme (eg. Heat Fleet - requires the car to be decorated with flame tampos, etc.)

so many pics just now u didn't get poisoned even a bit arr? shocking.gif GTI got white color also.. this year also got Light Blue color too but not yet come out.. loose 1 can get from demonicle if he hv.. Ferrari still can get in 7E & othr retail stores i think..

alternatively, you can always look at member's sales threads and see what they have for sale. for example, kurz's sale thread has an audi r8, enzo ferrari and subaru impreza for sale. just go to garage sale and search up hot wheels. a word of caution, dont be spending too much too early or you suffer burn out real quickly. smile.gif

Last friday went to Giant at Bandar Kinrara... i was surprised by the number of HW's there.... loads and loads of it, hanging on 2 racks and also a big heap of it in a big compartment... but... most of it are 2007 editions, no thunts... and at the back of it got a chop "owned" whats that? Price is the same... but no greens (after browsing through it for 1 hour ) uh uh uh uh... if u wanna get 2007 cards, thats the best place to look for it... then i went to Giant Puchong, surprisingly not much choice and dissapointed me a lot lah... big giant, no choice... dont go there, waste of time... uh uh uh uh... thats my report lah... Got a MB Hummer and a Buick i think... dats all... dunno where to hunt lah... all my usual places still no new wave...

Just not my luck yet lorrrr.... really2 love the raba2 ones.... aarrrgggghhhhh... at nite also dreaming about it... for me the main "syioknesss" of collecting HW is when u find the cars that u really want by yourself.... uh uh uh uh... and the main dissapointment is when u only find the cards raped... kakakaka... too many places to look at and so little new shipments... uh uh uh uh... and also not so many money... well... will have to hunt more lah....

@elgee- spotting raba-raba is much harder than spoting those hairs, because there are more number of hairs on the floor than there are raba-raba at ANY given time....haha

The HotBird wave has passed I think, it should come with the blue corvette zr1, grey evo, black civic.. Thanks for the news! If you find i again, mind taking the yellow acura for me? smile.gif

from wat i believe... hot bird waves were found to be exactly identical to t mustang waves... i cud b wrong also...
