Guys, any news about 1000HE which use n280 atom yet? I would love to have 9 hours battery. anyone know what's the price range it will be?

so asus 1002 battery is indeed 2-cell. why do some sellers say it got 6 cells? if 2 cell performance is 3 hrs i think 4 cell one should be good enough (if the have)

c-zone price list write it as 6cell ~ damn

The only battery for 1002 is 2 cells, and its polymer cells instead of lithium cells. Atleast ASUS has already declared that they are not going to release bigger cells for it as I dont think it will actually fit.

what is the watt rating written on that 1002 battery?

just bought my 1002ha~ so far so good but do anyone know how to format? and reinstall my xp back into my netbook? i hate how they set my hardisk into 2 partition

EEE pc has already released its 2nd generation. And every model has its speciality.

If you think having a specific thread for our model is unnecessary, then you should ask all nokia fans out there that all N-series ( N9x N8x N7x ) phones discussion have to be combined into one thread, HP mini-note 2133 2140 into 1 thread, HTC touch series into 1 thread etc.

Every model deserves its own thread imo, thts why Lowyat is good for, you get users that uses that same model to discuss on it.

Look at how many models Asus has in its EEE pc series, if you want them to be all discussed in one thread, wouldnt it be confusing and messy? Think about it.

IMO this thread is slow because of its title, its not specific, when I start searching in Lowyat for 1002HA , I didnt get a direct result, so i thought there wasnt any users for it. After I bought my EEEpc only then I found out there is an EEEpc thread. This is probably the main reason why this thread is dead, its too confusing and too many models are being discussed at the same time.

Whatever model of eee its all the same. Its basically same spec with different storage. And users of specific laptops are not that much here as opposed to handphones. If each eee has separate threads it would be like, each thread would only have 2-3 active posters and will suffer premature death.

And no, I dint update the models and users at the front because theres no one here ask me to add them. Its impolite to just includes people without his/her consent.

I think its good to have all eee-family discussions under one roof, since almost all eee are the same specs and hardware, so every other owners can benefit from it.

Just my thoughts of course.

yeah.. the more threads u make the more chance to be dead .
better combine into one IMO. it's slow because got so many other netbook alternatives now

video playing using media player classic in power saving mode..works fine, lag once in a while, but when super performance mode, non lagging at all, battery life not much difference about 3hr-4hr(max) of video playing

office document processing, all works great and fine~

gaming, yet to test any

online streaming , works fine although some ppl says that youtube having problem but it works fine for me no problem at all

the netbook felt a bit warm during hot day, and icy cold in aircond room due to its body made from some aluminum

netbrowing not reconmended to use firefox, used too much memory, but using google chrome very fast, almost no problem, and for those who like vista sidebar, they can download google gadget

im new ere(dis is my 1st post actually...)

i just bought eee pc 1002 last saturday n im so happy with it!
well,it has 2-cell battery but if u disable WLAN,BT & Camera plus using Power Saving mode it will last 5 hrs ++.Im telling d truth coz i hv tried it.

n i bought 8gb sdhc and install portableapps from portableapps.com for my eeepc. oh,this thing got multitouch keypad also..n really accurate..2 fingers to scroll n 3 fingers to right click,please hv a try

for 1999 could it be that they sell with 2 GB ram?

ram i ask them give me free, if i never ask them give me they probably just give me crappy free stuff
