Office 2007 or 2010 ?

There's no more anything related with Microsoft Office on the add/remove programs ? like addins or such..

2010, i am using ehem version installer though.. but that's not the problem though since I downloaded 2 diff ones also can't install... hmm what kind of add ons are there? I am sure i deleted everything microsoft office related though

@eugenechiuu, try use this on command prompt
secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
then see if can install it or not..

anyone using win7 starter with eeepc x101h? After i installed OS and driver, now facing a one time popup acpi error - asus acpi service missing touchpad driver, touchpad switch hot key is void

doesnt seem to have any effect, just click ok still runs fine but a bit annoying lah

i thot eee pc x101 only run Meego??
BTW isit already available in malaysia?

The default path should work.
I tried it..

yup there're 2 versions in Malaysia the Meego one for rm699 which the other one with w7starter for rm799...

it's quite light but the white colour feels really plasticky and for rm799 u might as well get 1015B

guys wanna ask whether 1015b can upgrade to 4 gb ram?

My bro was upgraded to 4GB of RAM since day 1.

@eugenechiuu, try run the installer as admin..
or do some registry cleaning..

or try the method on the last post here.

new asus 1215B jz came out with AMD E450 ,price:1299

HP pavillion dm1-4000AU also with almost the same spec,but price 1099.

any idea???

Same here. Been going back and forth between these two:

HP DM1-4000AU - Slight cheaper, good design and build quality (from reviews), better sound, but smaller screen(11.6) and USB2.0 only. But comes with an HP backpack.
Asus 1215B - Slight more expensive, outdated design, so-so build quality (touchpad issues, keyboard flex, etc), but bigger screen 12.1, and USB3.0. No bag or any other freebies.

To anyone who recently purchased the new e450-based 1215B... did Asus address those hardware issues instead of just slapping on the e450 processor? Also, someone on the DM1z forum ordered the new DM1. Delivery was supposed to be 14 days, but the online shipment tracker stated almost 4-months. That's a little worrying.

The smart thing to do is wait for a few weeks to get some early reviews on both products. But frankly, my hands are getting itchy to start calling and ordering. LOL.

[HELP NEEDED]
i just format my 1215b and i found some hardware keys are malfunction, like wifi and the other button next to wifi button, i bet it is super hybrid engine function key. What do i do to make it usable? thankss in advance. I really need help on that.

Oh ya, i forgot, the fn+volume keys also not function. including fn+touchpad disable.

Can anyone tell me briefly what to do.. thanks

Fn keys, install ATK
Wifi, install Wireless Console3
Fn + touchpad, install touchpad driver.
