i was going to get the asus 1005pe but i wanna ask, it's wifi is 802.11b/g only or has 802.11n also?
then i saw this:
ASUS has introduced two new netbooks during CeBIT 2010 that called ASUS Eee PC 1015P and ASUS Eee PC 1015PE. Both the ASUS Eee PC 1015P and ASUS Eee PC 1015PE are seashell netbooks which offers sleek and stylish design.

The ASUS Eee PC 1015P and ASUS Eee PC 1015PE features a 10.1-inch LED BlackLight display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450/N455/N470/N475 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB hard drive with extra 500GB ASUS storage online, 802.11n Wi-Fi, bluetooth 2.1, and presumably have USB ports and VGA port.

now i'm thinking of waiting for the 1015pe model, what do u guys think?

just bought my 1001p from ipoh^^
like it so far but not perfect, but it's ok.

Added on May 4, 2010, 6:23 pm"1001p"
pros: nice texture in black, great battery life, nice price, windows xp instead of windows 7 starter, n450 with gma 3150, useful ms works.
cons: 160gb hdd instead of 250gb, no bluetooth, charging noise, wifi is b/g instead of a/g/n, 0.3mp webcam not sufficient.

I bought an Asus eee 1000HE for my Hackintosh project.
Before going for the project, I installed a Win7 Ultimate on this netbook.
There are some hardware upgrade too.
1) Add a 2GB Kingston HyperX Ultra Low Latency sodimm (DDR2 CL3@748MHz) icon_rolleyes.gif
2) Add a Kingston SSD+
3) Add a 4GB Sandisk Extreme Speed Class 10 SDHC as "Readyboost"

I overclock it too.

Surprisingly it's very smooth in watching mkv / H.264 movies.
I use PureCodec.
Here's my setting for smooth HD movie watching
a) Pure codec setting - H.264 Video decoder --> Cyberlink
b) In KMPlayer - Video (advance) ---> Superspeed mode

P/S
My Kingston HyperX Ultra Low Latency sodimm is a 4GB kit (2x2GB)
I have only used one module. I would like to sell my other module.
Those who like to boost the performance of their netbook can PM me for the price of the ultra low latency memory module. thumbup.gif

One word for netbook, it can run pretty smooth too. laugh.gif

Im pretty sure its a 720p tv episode. Cos normally a 1080p would be close to double that size.

Just bought 1005P on last Saturday and today the cover edge get scratches. How to get rid of it? Apply netbook skin? Netbook skin cannot cover corner / edge area isn't it?

i'm interested, can it fit into my 1005HA ? is it hard to install it ? i heard that there is some difficulties in installing RAM in a netbook since the back plate is smaller than notebook and hard to remove it.

At last bought the Eee 1005PE. Upgraded to 2GB ram. So far so good just sometime lag a bit. It is expected as it is netbook not notebook hahaha.

One thing to ask, this netbook said can stand for about 14hours. But I used it the most I can get is 6-8 hours only. Ceh.
