hello, planning to upgrade my PC speaker. But may i know which one was the best one for music btw C3, R1900Tiii and R501MKii or any suggestopn? my budget is btw +-Rm400.
Plus, either 2.1 or 5.1 channel is more suitable for music? (As i find out alot of commented surround effect is more tend for movie and gaming, izzit?)
i personally tot that, 5.1 (surround effect) would be nicer than 2.1 for music.
any audio expert can give some advised, thx alot

i generally more prefer R1900Tiii bcoz it really have alot good comment and review from everywhere rclxms.gif , but just a bit wonder it really can blast without a subwoofer compare to c3 or r501mk2.
i really hope can pick a nice speaker for all genre of music. (from soft, heavy untill booming it still performnce on top)
by the way, how it performnce if i setup at my living hall?
is
besides that, may i know music would play better in 2.1 or 5.1 channel ? as i know from many review 5.1speaker is tapically use for movie and gaming.
thx

the r1900t3 is for serious music listening and not for blasting

2.1 is easier compared to 5.1

many people experience only the front speakers make sound and the center/sub/rear doesn't do anything
the reason why is because music is rendered as stereo and not surround icon_rolleyes.gif

hmm.. then i think i would go for R1900T3 loh.. actually im seldom blasting also, just find sometime is neccessary only biggrin.gif brows.gif (still saving money for that, wish will get it next month)

"the center/sub/rear doesn't do anything" shocking.gif shocking.gif huh~~ i'm really shocked to know that. (i really hesitate to get R501mk2 also, i feel to regret if i didnt pick it, but i only can pick one btw these... so sad)
by the way, thx alot

r1900t3 will make life simple smile.gif
Edit:
oh...I've just noticed that the R501mkII is quite simple

good news for you, just plug the wires into the 'line in' port instead icon_rolleyes.gif

you'll get stereo surround without having trouble thinking on how to connect them brows.gif

never knew R501 was that simple compared to other 5.1 multimedia speakers doh.gif

huh..that's good
but after a deep thinking, i decide to get the R1900T3 first since it really can produce perfect clarity of sound as many review had pointed. i hope it wouldnt dissapointed me....
by the way, do u have any idea, is that possible i plugin on my edifier X600 subwoofer?

besides, that is RMS actually mean. i notice C3 actually has very low in RMS if compare in term of price with other speaker, but it really can blast in loud better than other.
one more, is that good speaker was same with it weight? this is one of reason i choose R1900T3, but S330D have high in RMS but it's really light.... may i know, how weight of the speaker generally affect it perfomnce..?
thx

good to hear that you're choosing the r1900t3
it's possible to plug them with the x600 sub, just don't connect the r1900t3 into the x600 speaker out
connect them separately, you don't wanna burn your r1900t3 amplifier icon_rolleyes.gif

is indeed C3 amp is weaker than the S330,that's why the rms is low
but normally we don't look at the power output to judge how loud a speaker can produce (you have to test them to know how loud it can go icon_rolleyes.gif )

normally we think the heavier the speaker, the quality of the speaker built is better
we think heavy speaker means thicker wood used to build a speaker enclosure (so that it won't vibrate too much)

but it all depends on the design of the speaker if you're talking about sound quality,so leave that case alone tongue.gif
you can always continue your discussions here nod.gif
