My creative gigawork G500 was dead, im planing to buy a better 5.1 speaker, i want to ask is it da5000pro better than my past speaker or i should go for s550? s550 is vry expensive, if da5000pro is more better than my last G500, i will go for it...im using sc asus xonar dX2 anyway...
Hope to get some useful comment here... thanks... |

I bought C3 from a PC fair in Singapore 3 years ago.
Since I live in an apartment, I couldn't really use the big speaker, the neighbour would come knocking. So, AT headset was on and C3 was in the box, somewhere in the bomb shelter, forgotten. The AT headset died. I unboxed the C3, found it as sexy as the first time I saw it. I plugged it onto my laptop, the sound's amazing but something was not right....the left speaker doesn't produce any sound!!! I swapped the cables (connecting to the amp), in turn, the right speaker lost its sound. It must be the amp but I don't bother to open it up. Googled digital hub (did I buy the C3 from this company? I am not sure, It was 3 years ago). I emailed digital hub and received no reply. I posted in a Singapore forum and again no reply, maybe they don't even know what the heck is edifier? Googled again and found this lowyat forum and edifier seems to be popular here. Does anyone know what went wrong with my C3? Honestly, I kinda regret of buying big speaker, it's inconvenient and I can't really use it in an apartment. anyone interested? S$90? S$80? S$70? offer me. but you got to come to Sg to pick it up for sure =) It's 9.5/10 physical (even the box 9.5/10) Anyway, please advise me how to restore it back. Thank you. |

Thank you. but if in your case, most likely the amp got problem, i think send it to your nearest electronics shop and fix it, it wont cost alot, anyway, you can just tune it down so that it will not be so loud. headphone is quite harmful if you use it often. so my suggestion is to fix and to continue using it LOL |

Just setup my DA5000 pro, sound is still abit plasticky, have to wait for burn in
Anyway, curious how come the AUX input is softer than the 5.1 channel input, it's abit annoying if I have to keep adjusting the volume. edit - just found out the AUX was connected to laptop stereo output and the signal is not as strong. Also, is it normal that the rear speakers are softer than the front speakers? I could hardly hear anything from my rear speakers so I reduced the volume of the front speakers, what about you guys? the front and rear should be same volume. you can try with the windows vista / 7 sound control panel then configure, the sound in each channel so be in same loudness.
if you're playing songs and the rear is not as strong, it's because of the upmix software in your soundcard. |
