The hissing noise sounds similar to the one interruption during radio broadcast,when you switch channels in between.

Try to connect it to another source like MP3, see whether got the same problem, if not means the PC component cause the noise.

just bought a m3300sf last two days due to my sonic gear evo 3 pro spoiled. the bass is really nice, but ... the satellites are really ... not solid, treble too sharp, uncomfortable hearing it ... i was thinking of selling it today .. eventually 1 decided to keep it cz i tried pair the sub wif my sonic gear satellites, wow ... now the sound quality much much better, it's really comfortable to listen now ...

Do u turn ON ur equalizer? if YES makesure the high frequency is tuned properly, becoz most Edifier speaker can sound nice even with flat equalizer biggrin.gif

i tried it in winamp,even play games,bt games unable 2 tune equalizer,thrfor mz use back my sonic gear satellite speakers

Might want to consider Creative Gigaworks T3 and Harmon Kardon SoundSticks 2 as well.One more, Aego M brows.gif

Oo... Even what i own is only M1335 i don't think the treble is sharp... Quite nice for me!

the biggest culprit can be the PSU. when it buzzes, noise can be induced and heard through the speakers. my old creative speakers can filter that, but my current edifier M2300 can't. sad.gif

today opened up my old s2.1d
last year it can power up but no sound from speaker, i thought remote was rosak (as many people have this problem)
but i found it was the circuit board trace bad contact, not the remote

haha, what a "nice" quality product doh.gif
