i know people who is sellnig the klipsch GMX 2.1...i think my buy would be the Klipsch lor then...altho i never tested it b4....it looks very good from the review....i have tested the C3 and S330 ......the s330 is confirm better than c3......jus wanna know if GMX 2.1 is better than Klipsch GMX 2.1 nia.

The original GMX 2.1 cost >RM500 when it was released in 2004, the newer batch version (some people said cut-cost) cost about RM400. My uncle bought it at Penang Bukit Jambul Complex last year and it sound amazing. The bass is powerful than S330 and make sure you set your EQ to default (flat) because it's too loud.

The top one. May i know the below is what model? As i know the late Promedia is superior than GMX 2.1 but it's was discontinued.

the below one is promedia 2.1
actually the promedia 2.1 is designed in 1999. its already THX certified.
but actually it's still on production (in US) rather than discontinued like GMX.

below is the promedia la but carries the same name....the top GMX A. 2.1 the bottom one is GMX promedia 2.1 ....promedia looks very old school.....kinda confuse actually.....i am planning to get the top one...nothing could go wrong right?

Do you think it still sound good today because most of 90's PC speaker doesn't have tweeter?

old speakers.....do their subwoofers tend to spoil easily??? due to aging ....lol......maybe glue tak cukup kuat d.....turn loud a bit the bass diafragmme comes off.....

i think its still good. cause most reviews said promedia > gmx
but klipsch promedia long time not available in asia already as i suppose...

if you dont use they will spoil. for the klipsch promedia, they are popular to failure (check forums.klipsch.com) cause of overheat and much more.
its the amp, not the enclosure itself. klipsch enclosure are solid...

im worried about my gmx so i sold it off and get the ifi cause there are less case of ifi dead. (i mean just google : klipsch ifi dead, versus klipsch promedia dead). i really hope any of my speakers did not fail after time... even my old 96' sony hifi still working fine..

i want to buy a new set of 2.1....now iam with AegoM kinda boring with it....now i hunting for a good bass.....like nismo91 always say quality bass...to bad his Klipsch iFi its kinda imposible to find......Altec stop making a good speaker....they sell cut-cost speaker instead...so now im stuck with Edy....so obviously the best choice was S730 am i right....but i wonder can i save abit and go for S530 instead.....many say the bass is not tat good they say even the old GMX can outperform S530 bass....is tat really the case...? S530 or S730?

sad to say, let me tell you what are the good choices that have been gone:
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, Klipsch GMX A 2.1, Klipsch i-Fi, Altec MX5021 (Old batch), Altec CS21.

S530 versus GMX i still prefer GMX although gmx only 6.5 inch sub only. but different ears different liking.. be sure to audition before getting...

I myself oso own GMX once.....to be honest im so regret selling it......i have audit my friend S530....dow the Subwoofer is much larger, it just dont produce a nice deep bass like GMX does....and sometime i feel my prev GMX satellite sound sharper...so now what should i do...? S730 seem like the only answer...? darn its gonna blew a hole in my wallet.....suggest me alternative cheapskate guys...?

if you like GMX. im not sure even S730 can satisfy. its not boomy, although powerful. not sure though.
GMX is a good piece of work., u can ask the forumer beside, he said can find new GMX...

S530D suitable ppl like me who prefer clear vocal & moderate bass (not too deep). I might upgrade to S730 soon
