Is the bass heavy?

that's like asking whether normal toyota car can speed fast or not...

audition for about 3 times already, conclusion...c3 not designed for bass...

C3 bass characteristic is a bit loose if compare to s series (S330) ,it more suitable for gaming .

yup, go for something like audio engine. or for movies, the entry 2.1 klipsch home theater i thought it may be good. not promedia one.

but i dont think it will be so ex. i mean, its computer peripherals.
wont exceed computer price itself. some may exceeds, but who would buy. thus rarely available.

guys, i m looking for a smaller set, budget about RM1k. my bro is working in overseas, and he asked me to get one for him to use on his laptop, mainly use for movie and listening to music, games, seldom play oso... i was recommended the S730, looks nice and nasty, price is ok, but then its way too heavy for me to bring over to him, i m visiting him next month... any other alternatives?

wow, the 530 sub unit is huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do we have s730 actual size? damn, bite the bullet and get s730. hell care about it... haha.... check in as luggage. oh, how much are we looking to pay for that 730?

Added on June 29, 2009, 3:38 pmoh guys, another thing i forgot to mention. the media is rmvb, avi and mp3, some games. so may i ask if 5.1 is required? i mean are those media that i have are of 5.1???? basically he is using with his Dell xps m1330 laptop. i m new to these 5.1 thingy

The price of S730D is RM999, it's within ur budget as well, I can vouch for the speaker myself, very nice But since you're carrying to overseas, I don't think you'll be able to do so coz it's freaking heavy and the box is so darn big, it's around 30kg. May be you can consider getting Altec Lansing MX5021 as well. Below I attach the pic of Edifier S730D.

the MS5021, any idea whats the weight? yeah, u are probably rite. it might be difficult for me to bring over, and for him to bring back later. guys guys.... help me hahhaa.... i think bose shd have those tiny ones but yet nice sound rite?

The weight of MX5021 is 10KG++, less than 20Kg. The box of MX5021 also kinda small, my bro once carried it to overseas as well so I recommend you getting that one, haha. Bose also can but it's kinda pricey to me.

Performance wise not bad lo, bass is stronger than the S730D but clarity wise S730D wins no doubt. The price is Rm550.

hmm thanks bro... thats even cheaper than my JBL 200iD soundstage for my iphone!!!! hahhaa...... looks wise, s730 really is meaner, but weight is an issue, any other alternatives for me to reconsider?
