hi, i wanna build a new pc for gaming.. so the problem is i have tooo many choices to build the custom 1 for gaming outside.. i think gonna make the amd spec pc, but i heard from someone, he said the amd system are *little* unstable.. is it true?  sad.gif i know, the amd spec are little cheap than intel.. so, i hope anyone can help me for better choice between intel spec and amd spec for gaming.. which 1 to you guys? i wanna try the sli tech..  biggrin.gif  here, my budget is around rm3k++.. lastly, if you can pls give me the detailed spec that you think enuff for my budget.. biggrin.gif i'm glad to hear from u guys and thanks a lot.. rclxms.gif

Who the hell told u that amd system is *little* unstable? He should be shot..
It all boils down to component selection ler.. If u use intel cpu with below par components such as motherboard and such, u will get an unstable system too..
Sooo the moral of the story is that u should always carefully select whut components u want to use in ur rig..

Back to ur requirements if ur really2 gunning for a SLi system i would suggest:

AMD System:
AMD Phenom X4 9850BE - RM580
Biostar Tpower N750 NF750a SLI - RM475
Kingston DDR2 800mhz 2GB*2 - RM200
Gainward 9800GT Cool Ice 512 DDR3 - RM560
WD3200KS 320GB SATA HDD - RM170
Silverstone ST56F 560W PSU - RM350
LG 20x DVDRW SATA - RM80
Benq G2200W LCD - RM645
Cheapo Case - RM90
Logitech Keyboard & Mouse - RM55
Altec Lansing BXR1121 (2.1) - RM120
Total = RM3325

Intel System:
Intel Core2 Duo E8400 - RM585
Asus P5N-D SLI - RM550
Kingston DDR2 800mhz 2GB*2 - RM200
Gainward 9800GT Cool Ice 512 DDR3 - RM560
WD3200KS 320GB SATA HDD - RM170
Silverstone ST56F 560W - RM350
LG 20x DVDRW SATA - RM80
Benq G2200W LCD - RM645
Cheapo Case - RM90
Logitech Keyboard & Mouse - RM55
Altec Lansing BXR1121 (2.1) - RM120
Total = RM3405

The system that i suggest are all could be SLI capable just u have to buy another GPU and ur all set to go..
May i also suggest CF ready systems? Here you go..

Benq G2200W LCD - RM645
Cheapo Case - RM90
Logitech Keyboard & Mouse - RM55
Altec Lansing BXR1121 (2.1) - RM120
Total = RM3210

Intel System:
Intel Core2 Duo E8400 - RM585
Biostar TP 43 HP - RM350
Kingston DDR2 800mhz 2GB*2 - RM200

someone from IT hypermarket told me, the salesman.. i have no idea y he say amd are *little* unstable.. then he suggest me better use intel than amd..  sweat.gif mm yes, i'm a gamers but not toooo extreme or extraordinary gamers  laugh.gif ur suggestion r quiet gud n useful for me.. how about wif XFX 750a sli mainboard and 9800GTX+? thanks again man..

As usual those lame ass salesman that don't know crap what their talking about..

Hmmmmm that mobo doesn't support 9850BE ler.. shakehead.gif
It only support CPu up to 95w.. sweat.gif sweat.gif
http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/products/mot...ityList-AMD.pdf

You need to be looking for mobo that support CPU up to 140w..

I suggested biostar NF750a coz it support CPU up to 125w..

GPU selection of 9800GTX+ is quite gud too but the reason i suggest 9800GT is because of ur said budget..
Check it here to compare the GTX+ with Gt and with 4850 and make up ur mind then..

Added on October 30, 2008, 12:05 pmmm biostar mobo support 1066 ram bro?
*
Yup that particular biostar AMD mobo support DDR2 1066 BUT u have to pair it with a Phenom cpu to make it work..
Older X2 only support up to DDR2 800... This is because of the builtin memory controller embedded in the CPU..
