I'm using a sim adapter. So far no problems with Edge and telco signal unless I turn on/off Airplane mode. There are different versions of sim adapters available just avoid getting the older versions.

I don't think its good to comment about people who bought US sets. I most certainly was aware about the consequences when I bought it. I just had to test it for myself and found that only Airplane mode is not working. I bought the phone real cheap and I can live without 1 function, save about RM1.2k and wait for Dev team to find a way to unlock the phone. "FOR ME", the iPhone is not a gadget worth paying anything more than RM2k for. No bluetooth, lousy video recording, no flash on browser, can't change battery, no video call, no MMS, lousy camera and a few more other stuff. Yet is fun, sleek, stylish and a nice tool to show off with.

Alright cool. So let me get this straight. Reading the 2 posts after mine, can I assume that this place isn't the right place for people with locked 3G phones to get help?

Dev team has the pieces to unlock iphone 3G ready. They are just figuring how to implement it in a user friendly GUI. My suggestion is don't do anything with your locked Iphone until they release it.

I myself did a JB to install the installer for 2.1 and only saw the warning that JBing with quickpwn in 2.2 can screw up the baseband.

Quickpwn will disable the phone's chances to be soft unlocked in the future too if u use it on 2.2 =/
