Copy that folder, put into your backup files.

Reinstall.

Put back that folder inside Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare folder.

Your major is still there <3

i did that once before reinstalling cod4, i backup my profile.
then i copy back my profile into the directory
the game says cant recognize my profile..

Oh, because you need to know your CD-Key, use it again once you reinstalled it. Because different CD-Key, different profile recognition.

Remember your CD key. Bring it to CC, key in CD key like you how u normally does, exit the client. Then paste your folder, launch the client and your profile will be recognize.

Go into the game, Option -> Multiplayer option -> CD Key Code -> Insert those numbers and alphabets.

Hey guys recently i just install cod4 on my lappie,the problem is i cant found my profile folder eventhough i have made alot of profile to check it.This happen to on Mods folder to,there no mods like promodlive etc(only modwarfare mod) but if i go in the game and go to the change mod there they are.Btw os is Vista 64 bit..

had the same error as you ros...im on vista 32bit...i reinstalled cod4 and its working fine for me...not sure if it'll work for you
