I've upgraded my vista home premium to ultimate no prob..
Been using it ever since.. I just pop in the ultimate cd, follow the onscreen guide and after 20min or so it's done..
I didn't have to reinstall anything..
If the software works in the home premium it should work in ultimate too..
I upgraded the home premium 32bit to ultimate 32bit, don't know ar if it would work from 32bit to 64bit though..

Tumpang thread a bit...

I heard many people say that the installation disc for all versions of vista is the same.

So is it possible for me to use my Vista Basic OEM installation disc to reinstall Vista Premium OEM on a laptop with Premium OEM cd-key??

Thanks.

Talking about Vista, I want to ask, how to downgrade from Vista to XP? My friend bought a DELL laptop, Vista Home forgot what model & he wants to downgrade to XP. He doesn't know how to use Vista because he said it was too complicated. For me it's just simple but maybe he's just use to XP i guess...

Aiyo, Vista DVD contain all version of Windows Vista except Windows Vista Enterprise. If you own Windows Vista Home Basic DVD, you can upgrade to other edition by using the same DVD but entering appropriate serial number...

No downgrade right available from Windows Vista Home Basic/Premium. You need to own Windows Vista Business/Ultimate license to be able to downgrade to Windows XP. Otherwise, you'll need to buy a Windows XP license from DELL.

Windows Vista DVD has all edition in it except Enterprise. What's installed on your PC is depending on your product key, that's why Windows Vista installer is on DVD...
