i've just come across a page that introduces softwares to calculate PI and i was wondering, why dont we use QuickPI (http://home.istar.ca/~lyster/pi.html) for benchmarking our cpu?? not only we can calculate PI faster, for dual/quad cores, we can utilize more of our cores for better calculation... u can see in the screenshot below, super pi uses at most 26% of my q6600 while quickpi an average 37% of my q6600... well i know super pi is still used by lyn overclockers as their benchmark, i am just suggesting another tool for benchmarks any comments are welcomed

well its not that well known yet as of now... so not much ppl will be using it as its hard for us to do comparison with others... good tools, may b we could start a new oc db where we will submit our results there

i think instead of quickpi, we should try introducing benchmarks like PiFast Since it is recognised already and i have not seen it here, to my knowledge.. Hmmm. Is there?

it calculates 32m digits of pi as benchmark.. but the good thing is, u can set the program to use exactly how many processors u wan ... so dual and quad core users can fully utilize their proc

There is a database in Overclock Database section.
