had a hard time trying to get DOS to read a USB HDD/USB thumbdrive to install windows on my fren's AAO..cos we're cheapoes who dun wan to buy an external cdrom

normally i'll buy laptops only from established names in msia.. with no warranty seals on every user-upgradeable component eg ram, hdd. established brand is also important.. nanti 3 yrs later wanna buy battery at least its easier to find
Hi bro,
all netbook nowadays comes with Window XP preloaded unless it stated free dos.
Yeap, dell is cheap, but do you realize that the internal memory only 8GB SSD ? You can't do much with the 8GB unless you are using it just for very basic use.
The reason why you having hard time to install window via USB thumbdrive is because the AAO comes with Window Linux, so it doesn't mean Dell is good JUST because of the window XP already preloaded. It applies on all other netbook as well.
Em, may i know how you define established names in Msia ?
With great advertising going on ? Or ?
Most of the product, as long as they can provide you a local manufacturer warranty.
You stil can be able to find back the parts within 10 years after your purchased.
*But for sure it take some times to get it *

HP netbooks are nice and stylish...however Lenovo got lots of features and more future proof..
Mind to share the features that you find it useful ?
2 USB slot ? 3 cells batteries ?
