Interesting enough, why does your SP2 build listed as being released in 2007?

I'm using x64, and unfortunately SP2 is not available for x64. Only 1 update is available after applying the trick. Vista SP2 Servicing Stack Update Build 16489 for x64 (KB955430)

SP1 is good for most use now. You may want to use Vista now provided your hardware can support it, i.e. preferably at least dual core CPU and have 2 GB RAM (1GB also can support, but still recommended to have 2GB at least)

Depending on hardware configuration, you will get somewhere around 3GB but definitely more than 2GB.... not up to 2GB.

In my case, about 768MB reserved for hardware addressing while another 256MB used for my onboard graphics, leaving approximately 3GB for system use.

x64 with RAM 4gig and more is not a waste if you fully utilize it. I myself love hueg RAM to run Ubuntu and Windows XP as guests simultaneously on my Vista Ultimate host.

Still no SP2 Beta for x64. Maybe because driver incompatibility liek SP1 last tiem? Edit: On the 2nd try, I managed to get the update for my x64 system. The update is KB948465, sized at 490.8MB - 494.0MB. Is there anybody know the direct link to the download for x64 system?

You know the connection sucks, if update from Windows Update always disconnect one. So by knowing the direct link, I can download use download manager and apply the update manually. More practical.

Lighter? Sometimes after you install a major update you'll feel that.Test it at least 1 week before making this statement?

Btw i don't know whether Service Pack 2 works well as i'm running on x64. Still no Service Pack 2 for x64 right.. rolleyes.gif

If you can successfully installed the sp1, then should be nothing to do with the sp2 driver. I am using it now. Vista SP2 Build 16497 for x64, (KB948465) so far so good. hehe..

SP2 shouldn't conflict with any driver that is supported with SP1 because it just fixes and improves some functionality of SP1. Anyway, it'd be good if the testers provide us their experience when using SP2.

I won't be posting a review (cause I'm kinda' lazy, maybe I'll post a review later) but here's what I gotta say after downloading and installing it. It installed faster than me installing the "SP1" update. Other than that, there are a few new programs which I don't use. blush.gif
Btw, I downloaded and installed it on my "testing" rig. The specs are (not much cause I just download and install my crap there and scan it then only I install it on my other computers):
Intel P4 3.0GHz, 2 X 1GB Kingston Value DDR 533MHz, 2 X 500GB HDD SATAII, ASUS P4P800 Deluxe, ASUS nVidia GeForce FX5600XT 256MB.

Can any of you try to run dx10 game in Vista 64?. Dx10 game always crashed on me but dx9 worked like a charm. I'm using Ati 4850 512 mb with 8.11 driver. I wanna see if its a problem and being fixed in SP2.

I don't use Vista 64-Bit but I'm sure that it's an isolated problem. I can't imagine all the Vista 64-Bit users in this world having problems due to the inability to game with DX10. I'd recommend that you update your Vista and your ATi graphics card drivers. Don't use SP2 first, numerous bugs have to be ironed out.
