hhmm... shouldn't be a problem from my past experience. I've also used 2 sets of different RAM.

2x 1gb hyperx PC2-6400
2x 1gb hyperx PC2-9200 D9GKX

yet everything went fine and stable. the D9 was added later FYI.
I always thought that as long as you can get the setting right within the capability of your ram in the BIOS, then everything should be fine? hmm.gif

I was running my rig (X38-ds5) @ 450mhz cl4-4-4-15 on the ram with rock solid stability. Coz i know that the 6400 hyperx can go from 400 to 450 without sweat, and later added the D9GKX with all the setting unchanged, without any problem (duh sweat.gif ).

Your new ram is definitely a better one compare to your old one from what i can see. but if i were u in your shoes, i would have expected it to work. and also since u mentioned that u have raised the voltage of your ram and it still didn't work. could it be the new ram's fault??

Simple suggestion, pull out your old ram and start your rig with ONLY your new ram. and see how it goes??

not true..

i have been doing that for years on multiple boards..

TS.. i think its a JDEC conflict...

also are u running the right pairs in the right dimms..

this is why u should always buy the same chipset.. like max last 10 digit serial off both pairs.. to ensure compatibility.

meaning buy one shot 4x1gb..

its a gaygay mobo right.. gaygay sometimes changes read ure manual and make sure its the right channels..

you mean the dimm slots right? good thinking, never thought of that hmm.gif
that's why i think it is also a good idea to test the pair seperately to ensure they are not faulty at least.

If i'm using a gay mobo? does that make me a homosexual?
