Great thread here, guys. Learned quite a bit about the difference between the makes from this thread.
Looking to get into this hobby so since I saw from the opening post that there are shops in Atria, I went to check it out.
Saw that they only have AutoArt, Minichamps, the other high-end makes, so I asked the guy if they carry budget ones like Bburago and Maisto. The guy laughed like I said the most ridiculous thing and said no. Haha, they're really that bad, huh?
Looking to get an Audi R8 but I only saw Maisto die-casted ones online. Don't really know which high-end companies produce R8. Any help, guys?

QUOTE(quiksilve @ Apr 3 2009, 05:01 PM) Welcome to the thread bro and enjoy your stay. Too bad that Nikko is pulling the plug, and closing down very soon. Was inform by my friend who owns the shop. Guess we just have to resort to evil bay then to get new and old diecast. You could try Kyosho's R8 bro. Its quite a good piece indeed. Me i am still waiting for other colours to be released. Checked out the website. Very, very nice indeed. Thanks for the recommendation. Trying in vain now to scour the web for a white one. QUOTE(Jasonist @ Apr 4 2009, 06:56 PM) blackchides: welcome to thread... hope u have a great time here... and hope this thread enhance ur knowledge on diecast models... do ask if u need any enquiries and happy diecasting! Thanks a lot dude. By the way, do you know if the stores in the Bukit Bintang area are well stocked in 1:18 AA models? Wanna be sure before I make the trip to KL. I also saw that you actually order quite a few online. Don't they get taxed by customs? This post has been edited by blackchides: Apr 5 2009, 12:12 AM
