Hi! nice collections you have there.... do you experienced any melting tyres issues as other forumers encountered? or fadding paint? what's the tips to keep these precious collection in tip top condition??
*
Hi REALCollector!

Thanks for the compliment. Some of the cars in my old collection is not in its perfect condition. The only problem i have experienced is that the paint of the chrome parts on the models fading (Especially on the Porsche 356's wheels). I think its because of the air, dust and most probably because I used to touch those chrome parts a lot (As I was little that time). I keep my models clean by cleaning the model's surface by using wet cloth, as for the small holes and gaps, I clean it by using a paint brush. Those are the only tips that I can give you. Of course My latest models in the boxes doesn't face any problems, I just have to keep the boxes clean from dust. tongue.gif

By the way, do you know where I can get a 1/18 display case? I need one very badly for my Exoto Porsche 935 which I had just gotten 3 days ago. I know there's alot from ebay and it doesn't cost much, but the postage price is sick. Around 45$!

I recently customize some display casing with an advertisement shop, costing me Rm38 each, quality is not top notch but acceptable for me as hotwheels are selling Rm1xx each the last time i asked tkt.

Try looking out for those shops that deal with advertisement board and etc, if you're around Subang i can recommend the shop to you smile.gif

OMGGGGGGGGGG

I love the 935 & 956C!!!!
Where you get it & how much it cost you? biggrin.gif

I  always love the 80's Group C Racer!!!

BTW,is the model come with RACING decals or there was a version of real ROTHMANS/Rothmans decals.....since I do not really like the censored version....I prefer the uncensored one... notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
BTW,good collection you got there!
*
Hehe, Thanks for the compliment, Yeah, I also love the Group C/GTP racecars the best. biggrin.gif If only there's a 1/18 Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo, it would be great. That is my fravourite car of all time.

I got the Porsche 956L through an online site about 4 years ago. Unfortunately I cant remember the url of that site. Sorry sad.gif. It took me hours or even days just to find the 956 as it was out of production. Luckily I stumbled upon that site (If Im not mistaken that is a Hong Kong site as the car came from there). I remembered that it cost me 95Euros including postage. Not bad huh? My 956 comes with the "Racing" livery/decals. Too bad that Minichamps banned the Rothmans logo. But with some skills you can remove the Racing decals and replace it with the Rothmans decal set which can be bought from ebay. (The Porsche 956's decals is very sensitive and can peel out easily, that is one of the reason why its rating is quite low). You can try to find it on ebay now. But it will be rare and most likely you'll only find other liveries besides the Rothmans/Racing version. You can also check http://www.sportcraftcars.com.

As for the Exoto Porsche 935, I got it from ebay for 98.95 US$. Not a bad price also. Thats because the model was thought to be damaged and is sold way cheaper than its original price (Bidding is required). The buyer mentioned that the car has minor paint damage on bumper and loose air dam. But when I got the model. I checked it thoroughly and found out that it had no flaws or damage at all, lucky!! tongue.gif. The postage is 48US$, which is higher than the average 1/18 postage price. But overall its worth every penny.

You should check out the seller which I bought my Porsche 935, He sells only Exoto models, mostly with minor damage and the prices are not bad. You can even get an Exoto Sauber C9 for just 100+ US$! Here is the website: http://myworld.ebay.com/classicspeed1/. Hope you find this site useful for your die cast needs. biggrin.gif
Most probably the Sauber C9 is going to be my next target.

Blaze Dragon_89: hihi i saw ur models are displayed juz beside the window... have u been displayed them there for a long time oredi? coz the heat may transfer from the window to the car models and may cause damage to the paint... perhaps if possible, u might wana place the models distance away from the window...

my latest diecast acquisition from tkt - 2006 & 2007 D1GP Blitz ER34 Twinpack... superb detail liveries despite the 1/64 scale size... thanks tkt! rclxms.gif

which brand produce 1/18 Reventon besides Maisto n BBurago?

or if just Maisto n BBurago, which 1 is more details n nice?
*
Mondo Motors produces a Reventon which is better than Burago, as the lights are more detailed and has brake calipers unlike BBurago. You can check it out from ebay. Just type: "Mondo Motors Reventon 1/18"

MR Models is another manufacturer which produces the best Reventon, it sells for an average 599US$ on ebay (Expensive because its limited and handmade). Check this out as well:

http://www.lamborghini-talk.com/vbforum/f4...d-edition-8757/

That site even shows a comparison between the Mondo Motors Reventon and the MR Models Reventon

thx for the reply...

wow.. it's really so detail...
but the price is killing me...
im looking for price max to autoart standard oni...

usd599 cost my life edi... haha...
*
Yea, its crazy for the MR Models one, but it can be gotten cheaper by bidding, which is around 3xxUS$. still not cheap..... sad.gif

But I think the Mondo Motors version is good enough, and it cost quite cheap. Or if Jasonist is right about Mattel Elite would soon the 1/18 version, then it would be great.

I would like to buy the Mondo Motors Reventon, but the postage is even more expensive or just cost as much as the model itself....

hmm... im just aiming for more detail 1/18 of Reventon... cuz i saw the Bburago 1 really not that impressive to me...

will look for mondo motors version... but where can i get it locally instead of ebay?

Maisto has 1 reventon too rite? if im not mistaken, i saw it once in Jusco 1U... but im not sure whether i saw it wrongly or wut...
*
Hmm, I dont think Maitso has the 1/18 version. But they have the 1/24 RC version of the Reventon. Im not sure even if Mondo Motors brand is sold locally. unsure.gif

Blaze Dragon_89: unfortunately there is no retailers of Mondo Motors here in Malaysia... i never heard of this brand before after the reventon model is introduced... they do have some interesting models such as the Maserati Gran Turismo coupe... thumbup.gif too bad seems impossible to get in Malaysia, unless go for online purchase...

tkt: do u encounter this problem on Hot Works models ma??? blink.gif

mirage-rs: yea, since they now share the same quality of diecast, but try compare the quality of Murcielago of Maisto and Bburago, and Dodge Viper SRT-10 between the two makers... Maisto gains better quality than Bburago... on the other hand, the Range Rover Sports diecast have the same quality among the two makers, juz only colors are different... nod.gif
*
Yea, I kinda thought like that. The Mondo Motors company should sell their models in Malaysia widely, like Maisto and BBurago. If they do, Im sure that a lot of people will buy its models even though it doesn't have a wide range of models yet... The prices for the models are also reasonable. The Problem to order online is always the postage price... sweat.gif

jchue73: Haha, The AA 787B is a great model biggrin.gif . I got it from Yahoo Japan. Had to order through website called shoppingmalljapan.com as an agent to order stuff from Yahoo JP because Yahoo JP only ships its items throughout japan only. Quite a reasonable price for this limited edition model on yahoo JP compared to ebay. Why don't you give it a try? Btw nice CMC Merc SLR you got there thumbup.gif . If I were to get a CMC model, then I would get the Ferrari 250 Testarossa that CMC is going to produce soon.

The cost of the for the 787B is about 173US$ without postage, I won it at the auction for 13,500 Yen. But after adding the fees, it came to 173US$. Now I'll have to wait for the postage invoice to be emailed to me then pay it off.

Btw you can also drive that car in 2 more games: Virtua LM and GTR-2, but you must download it first.
