tkt: I should be back to hometown next month... do contact me if you still want those plastic cars!!! I hate that 1:38 Shell Ferrari - it remind me of that nasty guy! Ronnie... Tai ko tkt! mind to help me to get rid of them all...

-> though working at the foreign land... it can't stop me from collection 1/43 models... Just splashed RM1.2K on my collection this month sweat.gif .... few more BMW models should arrive in a month or two, hope that's my last acquisition for this year (nearly meet my pre-set quota)...

here's the Mirage GT...

Jason: No doubt your collection already exceeded RM10K. In fact you can't buy much with RM10K in these days... but some naive forumer (Poor Ronnie) out there thought we are trying to show off by mentioning the estimated $$ spent on this very expensive hobby... He got it totally wrong!!!

Ok! let's forget about that bad ass...

Yeap that Gemballa Mirage GT is by Spark models.

This model was selling real fast! Like the Xanavi Nismo GTR, it was sold out in less than 2 weeks WORLD wide since it released... If you can find one, I'm sure it won't come cheap... Just got lucky to pick this up recently after such a long wait - (pre-order since mid March). The retailed for the Wedsport IS350 is about 6300 Yen (approximately RM250)

- Like the CLK LM, I've been searching high and low for Minichamps Toyota GT-One, since I started to build my Toyota race car collection last year... Unfortunately, it was SOLD out world wide and Minichamps doesn't has any intention to release second batch in near future... So I was damn lucky cause an Aussie seller put this on auction in ebay recently and I pay the full price for this classic.... approx: RM170 is a bargain buy.. cause you can't find it (by Minichamps) anywhere else... I got the low budget 1/43 model by High Speed.. it just doesn't match with my other Ebbros' Toyota... pai se to post it here... the head (high speed TS020) is somehow imbalance... doh.gif

-vip3rleon9-: Thank you... now I'm waiting for Spark to release the Ascari A10...

subaru22b: It depends on what model you are looking for. You can get pretty good price for certain item from certain seller... so do your market research before commit to buy.. In general most of online stores are safe to shop. Always insist to pay via paypal... never reveal your card no. to the seller... Happy diecasting.

Myke: It nice to hear from you again. Just forget about that kid Ronnie, I really got pissed off in the Shell Ferrari forum after he gave me
some bad remarks in public.. .Well, he can only afford the plastic RM8.90 model that's why he made all those fuss... I'm sure he don't dare to post here as he don't have the guts to show his collection... I nearly give up posting here as I find most Malaysian collector don't quite appreciate the excitement and frustration we diecasters facing. I feel that SGDC collectors are very supportive and willing to share ideas... do visit my post there... OH! our Tai Ko Spikey do have a showcase there too..

Any new haul frm you? I'm sure you are up for something BIG!!!

Kyosho (BTS): I'm so grateful a seller like you are looking into collector interest.. Big thumb up from me... hope your business turn into an empire soon... rclxms.gif

Based on your PM, I think your price is quite reasonable after putting into consideration of "RISKS" that incurred when buying them frm overseas e.g. top up insurance, custom duty, loss and damage in transit... I strongly recommend collector who are looking for hassle deal.. do go to this seller... thumbup.gif

I hope you also considering to stock items from other brands like: Spark, Minichamps, EBBRO, IXO and also... Vitesse... I like their Rally car.. none Malaysia Distributor yet in Malaysia... icon_question.gif

Myke: That's another stunning AA GT-R (GT) from your collection wub.gif ... Can't wait to see your new project.... drool.gif

Aurion: Superb BMW model you got there... You are BMW freak!!! Really looking forward to open the parcel that fill with BMW race cars from UK soon (hope minichamps to speed up their production)....

Nissan GTR (R35) - Just browse the official FIA GT site... what a disappointment! after looking at the race 1 result in Silverstone... the Nissan backed GTR that conquered the 2008 Japan Super GT was smoked by it's competitors (e.g. Saleen S7, Maserati MC12 and Corvette Z06).... doh.gif

The GTR spec that raced in 2009 FIA GT (600 HP - could this be the engine that Nissan gonna put into their V-spec line up???):

jchue73: Walau! that HPI cost nearly 5 times compare to a normal ebbro GTR... no doubt it's so detail... well i guess not many willing to invest US$150 on a 1/43 model... AA 1:18 GTR below US$110... Kyosho 1:18 GTR about US$92 only....

looking for HPI IS-F ~> http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-HPI-racing-Lexus-...p3286.m20.l1116

Jason: You must get that R33 to complete your GTR family.

Myke: Fantastic! Tai Ko, pls open your collection blog... you already have
many fans here...

Aurion: Still waiting for Minichamps Z4 Race Version... they keep deferring the production, from March to May... then to June... now to November... (UK)Pound is on the rise... headache!!!

Jason: I told you guys before, our western counterparts (customer satisfaction always on their top priority) are very different than most of the China-man seller in Asia... HK in particular - profit minded... Now, I wonder when that Minichamps gonna release the Z4 and 2009 M3 GTR race version.... hope can complete my BMW collection before Christmas.

subaru22b - That was a very risky packaging you got there! luckily your items are still in good condition.... I recalled! last year I lost one F430 packed in envelope... anyway! congratulation for your new arrival... looking forward for more photos...

Myke: As expected! you are up to something BIG! thumbup.gif You really a role model to me.... never rush into making unnecessary purchase and regret about it later. I wish I could control myself from making poor decision in the future...

Tai Ko! I got poisoned by your Impreza WRX too... In fact I bought the BBURAGO 1:32 version last year... I feel Pai Sei! to show to anybody here...
Everytime I visit AA sites, I'm hooked with the Petter Solberg 2008 Monte Carlo race version....... could somebody tell me should I get one more Impreza STI WRC doh.gif !!!

REALCollector: Your postings inspire me to collect Japan Super GT cars. But I'm trying to collect 2008 models at the current moment. BTW, I'm trying to locate the Petronas Toms SC430 high and low and but no luck... sad.gif
myke: It's not really the modified 722 edition but close... The original Mercedes McLaren SLR as CMC calls it. smile.gif Some camera phone shots when I received it last week.

Yeap! that Petronas Tom's was selling fast... I guess was sold out in Asia early this year... You can try some UK online stores...
Talking about the Xanavi GTR Champion edition: Yeap! I was considering to get one indeed... but already bought the first race edition released earlier...
Yeap! that GT300 Z4 has the Japanese cartoon on it... looks like a toy car to me... hope AA to release 1:43 soon....

Myke: Not quite sure if I'm gonna to bring in any new models (except those BMW race cars)... running out of space... hope to have my own collection room in short future... looking to invest on properties too sweat.gif ...

Jason: Due to H1N1 Virus has landed in Malaysia, I have to cancel my trip this year... kinda sad cry.gif ! well there is always next year... any of you guys going?

jchue73: A BIG WOW! JAW DROPPING new haul you got there.... I guess the total items already exceeded RM1K... so you'll have problem running away from custom officer...

From my overseas purchase experience:
-> NEVER buy too many items in one purchase - RISK!!! you don't know where the items gonna end up... could be stolen... or route to elsewhere... I experienced that before.

->IF YOU declare the real value for insurance - then you need to pay high stamp duty...

* These are what I usually do
1. Pack less than 4 items (1/43 models) in one parcel - so able to fit in small box.
2. Never declare the real value... GIFT- CURRENCY VERY IMPORTANT! HK is my favorite!
3. Buy postal insurance if needed... ALWAYS use registered mail/ EXPRESS if you so desperate..
4. ALWAYS stick a fragile sticker....
5. INSIST good packaging from you seller + Bubble wrapping MANDATORY!...

-- that's how I minimize the risk of custom duty and lost in transit--

Should back to Malaysia in next two weeks... really looking forward to combine my new haul with those at home...

Hey, post some pics of your mod when you're done. smile.gif
hayashi86: I get my EBBRO stuff online. The latest Super GT cars available from EBBRO is only from 2008. Even that, I believe only the GT500 cars and only some of the GT300. Anyway, I was just starting to collect them until I got sidetrack a little with some other stuff. smile.gif

For 2009, you need to wait next year unfortunately. They cannot do so fast. But the 2009 Super GT cars should be very interesting indeed. smile.gif
*
You don't have to wait untill next year for the 2009 #1 Motul Nismo GT-R... it's gonna release soon... As for many of the 2009 GT500 cars, you can get them in second half of 2009... whereas GT300 will be slightly after Ebbro completed their GT500 production... I'm waiting for the 2009 APR Corolla Axio too... I guess it's gonna selling like hot cakes too.... have to pre-order early.

Myke: I can't resist and nearly broke my personal record again!!! doh.gif
Talking about the Aston Martin DBR9. I think car #009 was one of Leman ICON cause it smoked the Corvette last year and won the Le Mans 24
HR GT1 class... Unfortunately Aston Martin factory didn't field any DBR9 this year in GT1 class (excludes privateer teams which unable to
compete with the factory backed Corvettes)... Thereby allowing the Vettes grab the top three podium in 2009 race... Now I hope the DBR9 will stop the Corvettes from dominating the FIA GT - one of the top MC12 driver, "Thomas Biagi" just joined team Luc Alphand Aventures (C6R)... Let's see how Nissan backed GT-R up against these world class racing cars...

REALCollector: Your knowledge on GT cars are insane , from jgtc to FIA GT. How bout DTM, ALMS, BTCC, WTCC ? You into that as well ?
2 bad the GTR dint do too well on its 1st appearance in FIA GT 1st round, its wheel came off half way during the race haha. I think due to drifting it at every corner.

- Thanks mate! in fact I got hooked up by JGTC way back in 2004 when I watched the 30 min, preview on Astro SuperSports...still can recalled that Denso Supra driven by favorite driver "Manabu Orido", now the No.1 driver of RACING PROJECT BANDOH ~ IS350....

Yeap! besides that I'm too following the DTM races - My favorite driver is Timo Scheider, - In general, I love Audi race cars. It's kindda sad that the R15 lost against the 908 FAP HDI in LMP1 recent Le Mans race.. hope they will comeback stronger next year.

WTCC - Not quite following the race - but I'm supporting Yvan Muller...
ALMS - Nope at the moment...

LM - my fav

F1 - So boring this year due to Brawn GP domination....

..This are basically what make my collection rolling by following these racing series....

About the new items... nothing special... most of you guys already have them in 1/18... will post them once back to Malaysia.

Aurion: Your collection also growing fast... nice R8 and Lambos... hey, try to custom build a custom Lambo service center or showroom... I saw one collector out there... probably a Filipino, who spent 2 mths to complete his Lambo Service center... very impressive... try to find some photos over the weekend.

Wow! this thread has changed for the last few weeks... getting happening already... good work fellow collectors!!! notworthy.gif

Myke & Aurion: Aiyo! life here is getting boring, I feel as if time is not moving... For your info: there is no shopping mall here... only few shop lot around... can't even see any pub also... therefore can't find any diecast here... But I got internet access, still can buy online laugh.gif
I'm so keen to build up my Ferrari collection, might add one or two redlines models if found the right cars... about the 599XX - heard that red line is planning to produce in limited number (less than 500 pcs worldwide).

Jason: Great Maserati GT... do take some outdoor shoots and show to us... for your info: if you have a chance to visit Mount Buller... last two weeks of August.. the mountains are covered with snow... hey perfect spot for outdoor shooting brows.gif

Hokuan: oh! sorry to reply your question late: Oh! I never sell my stuff so far... only keep buying.... sweat.gif I hope you know what I mean... wink.gif

Kabuto: Tai ko! you got it frm MCE again? Let me share with you guys, do buy AA from MCE... other brands e.g. spark, minichamps, ebbro... pls look for cheaper option, MCE usually cost about 15% more (after 10% discount)...

jchue73: come on share with us all your new acquisition...

Aiyo! I nearly bought that Mika DTM machine from Germany that time... luckily my wife stopped me... if not mistaken the retailed price for that dealer edition is costing somewhere 50 Euros... scary!

Bern Schneider is DTM legend... he is the current holder of most DTM wins.... Like MS, his last DTM season didn't turn out to be a winner... Though I'm the Audi fan, I do support him....

Therefore I quickly order one from Germany last year... a long wait indeed.. but well worth it...

Schumi did visit that place regularly when he raced in Melbourne... you can find out more with local there...

Let's me share photos when I visit Mt Titlis in Switzerland last year...

Perhaps, you should take a visit to their official site http://www.redline-models.com/our_models/models_index.html ...

Myke: In fact I do have few Ferraris arrived yesterday... Now waiting for it's rival models from HK.... will post those cars when back to Malaysia biggrin.gif

As for the red line model... hmmm... I'm hunting for the 599XX... will wait and see if there are some reliable supplier frm US. I expect the gem will cost about the same as HPI Nissan GT-R (US$150)... which is more costly than 1:18 AA GT-R...

Other Ferrari models like 360GTC, 550 Maranello ... just get from cheaper brand... after all it's still a 1/43 Ferrari laugh.gif

Just to share with you fellow collectors: last week, somebody broke into one of my colleague house... to my surprise, that thief only took her son collection.... all the Shell Ferraris (including the 2 cases, 2008 & 2009) were gone...

That incident rang my alarm... better keep them in a big box, rather display them in the living room... scary sweat.gif .... I guess big scaled model like 1:18 is more bulky... so should not be that concern.... icon_rolleyes.gif
