Has anyone bought watches worth over USD1000 over the net from a foreign country, either from eBay or from watch fora members? I'm more interested to know how the local Customs Officers treat these kinds of purchases. I know that all watches brought into the country are duty free, but...

SamD, thanks for the info. Agree that prices are indeed cheaper on the net than what the ADs offer, but I'm not comfortable spending that kind of money buying it online. What has been your experience buying expensive watches online btw as it seems you have lots of experience to share?
