Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone here can help.

I am looking for a rolex leather bracelet with the rolex stainless steel buckle. Size of leather strap is 19mm and the bracelet is 16mm.

Its for my rolex 5500.

Is there any place in KL or Penang where I can get one?

Appreciate your help.

Tudor Valuable? despite being Rolex's sister company they uses unmod ETA movement. maybe top gradeFYI mido also uses Top grade ETA movement.
even IWC not that valuable esp those entry level.
a 1990 rolex datejust is ~0.3 of today's datejust MSRP. U can argue U bought it for less and made money, hey due to inflation even if U sold it, U can never afford a 2010 model without paying more.

online? I have yet to come across any of the wall clocks in mechanical movement. all quartz.

here is a Pam

an IWC
http://watchworx.blogspot.com/2009/11/late...wall-clock.html

Audemars Piguet Wall Clock

http://www.timeofswitzerland.com/Audemars-...all-Clock_e.cfm

some Singaporean got this Piaget from AD
http://piaget.watchprosite.com/show-forump.../ti-527281/s-0/
can try getting it here
http://www.chrono24.com/en/piaget/1569671.htm

don't think U'll find a Rolex, U find ppl looking for those in Rolex Forums.
U should try your hunt on the below forum
http://home.watchprosite.com/?show=forumpo...1&ti=527336&s=0

JLC don't make wall clock, they only do the famous Atmos clocks (mantel). U can find many used ones online or ebay for around US$700-1K but U may end up spending US$1-2K to fix it if U go to AD. few ppl know how to fix these clocks in Asia. new thru AD would cost U ~US$5K.

Well put, bro rclxms.gif

I was a pure Chinaman over 10 years ago, work like a donkey, hardly any sparetime to read non-professional megazines, & think very highly of "Lolex" then. Then, life became a bit more relax, have more time into hobbies & collectables, only then i realised i was a naive prick! blush.gif

Perhaps, the following link is more practical, in Chinaman term:

Enjoy browsing thr' the Swiss's BIG4: PP, VC, AP & Breguet ............ But others are also commendable. smile.gif

Chopard 1000 Miglia XL owner reporting. Decent watch except the clasp has pissed on me 2 times already. 1 replacement clasp and 1 bracelet already replaced by the local AD. I think it's a problem with all metal bracelets and clasps for their larger faced models.

its retailing at ~RM29k
do note here there is no tax.
in Swiss U get a 7.6% tax, sure there is VAT refund however U are not getting 100% back. U still pay some tax.
more ppl from Southeast Asia end up paying a little more if they are to buy in Switzerland.
of course if U cannot get it locally then it make perfect sense to get it there.

this store is in switzerland a grey market dealer. their price maybe the lowest there, grey market prices is usually lower (99%) than AD.

Yeah the LUC's are nice, but can' seem to rationalize the price. Priced too steep for that series. Would actually prefer its Monaco series.

Set my sights on Breitling Bentley GT series, but yet to find out on the retail prices from the local AD. Like it better than the Aeromarines simply because they aren't so thick!

considering LUC series are in house movements, and every time U bring in it they do upgrade it if the movement requires changing.
Look at it, its a work of art. It is not that steep.
Steep is when they mod standard ETA. Breitling are all base off ETA. a 7750 cost ~US$350, those 2892 cost ~US$200.

The interesting thing about the Valjoux 7750 movement is that watches using the base movement can be found as low as $1000 to as high as $10,000, if not higher, depending on the level of modification and *cough* marketing

patryn33, thanks for the info and explanation.

Come to think of it, you're planting seeds of doubt in my mind now! haha. I know the Breitling 13b/ Valjoux 7750 mod engine is definitely not considered high end in any way. But the bloody Bentley GT series are definitely OH SO YUMMY looking!

Btw, what do you think of the Hublot watches? In particular the Big Bang series and the HUB 44 movement? I know they're in another price category all together, but would sure like your opinion since u seem to be an expert in watch/movement technicalities.
