Hi All,

I dont know where should i post this topic, so i just post it here and i hope everyone can see this.
This case happen to me and luckly i do double check with Mobile88.com @ 03-92005555.
This fellow name Michael Ng (Zen Chua) 014-2461190 in the first place call me and send me email of the attachement (pls click my attachement, cause i put in other thread ---> http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=803075&st=0 ) Sounds like very rushing to close the deal and asking me send my details to him. Then I make up my mind to send the fake one.

After that, he sent an email (perfoma invoice) asking me to sign and bank in. Is the sound weird? rclxub.gif then my phone keep ringing also, i ignore it anyway.

I plan to buy the N73me on mudah.com.my then who knows i face this fellow. He said he is from Mobile88 sales executive and they create their awareness thru mudah.com.my, why dont go for Lelong or Lowyat? doh.gif

So, here wanna let all of you know about this, and Mobile88 already report to police about all the case happen before. So beware all of you, nothing is cheap and free in this world as Lincoln said.

Thanks notworthy.gif

yes, i've got this kind of offer from mudah.com b4 this..
beware of this kind of seller, they will directly send a pdf file into ur email and claim themselves as seller from mobile88.
btw, u can always notice mobile88.com showing they do not sell their items that way.
keep urself alert of this kind of scamming job which is trying their luck to cheat ppl out there.

Added on October 24, 2008, 4:45 pmanother new conjob detected, i used to post on mudah.com..
i've got some email from sender which claimed him from malaysia or somewhere else, they told he is willing to pay the amount which is higher than my stated price.. lol.. what is this? did not ask for discount and willing to pay more? it sounds fishy

after that , that person told me he is going to buy my item and willing to pay more and request for my banking details. but the weird thing is he wanted me to post the item to NIGERIA with courier service.. it sounds extremly fishy then i just ignored him cos i do not trust postage that much. I was guessing he is trying to ask me send the item to NIGERIA before he bank in after that he will disappear???

anyway, I always keep myself alert and beware of these kind of cases, im not sure is this a right place to discuss but im just sharing.
do not ever trust any unknown person from internet !!

I receive few emails before. All from ebay. They claim to be interested with your product and ask to post to Nigeria and said will pay using Western union. but I never reply their mail as I heard some senior seller in ebay said that those are con email. Seems like they have make the whole ecommerce thing became insecure. Really bad ppl.

I see lots of scamming online..sad case on people that get scammed. Those who scam, mad.gif

I nearly got scammed thru the internet online, it is always better to meet up and do the trade face to face, thats what i have learned.

To share some of the most common cases reported to mobile88.com

1) Seller from Nigeria / Hong Kong sell at cheap price and ask to pay using Western Union (most of the time ask you to buy bulk)

2) Seller from lots of Classifieds / Forums offer at cheap price ask to transfer or buy prepaid cards for them

So as mentioned by members here ...do COD transaction only with strangers. Some sellers may curse us cause they rely very much on bank transfer for the online businesses. So just be extremely careful when do online transactions.

Same here, all this year been using CC from many bank, they never ask me bout my last 3 digit no. But got one time, when my CC Visa Classic was middle of upgrading to CC Visa Gold, they (scammer) called and ask me regarding the 3 digit no. They said they need the no. to verify my CC. Some more said if don't want to give, cannot upgrade. I scold back and said i don't give a damn, u don't want to upgrade GOLD for me also can, i don't bother much about CC Classic or GOLD. After that, he pursue some more, i ended the call.

I got my CC gold after 1 week after the SCAM call which i didn't give the 3 Digit No.

Never give your CC last 3 digit no. to anyone who claim from bank or what.

C'mon guys some sellers don't prefer COD cos we're in full time business..it's plain waste of time and prefer to use courier's pickup service.
