This is just my personal opinion. There is one possibility; the foreman has open up the battery terminal to refill the battery water. Hence, ECU is out of original setting. I suggest that you take it back to the service center to reset the ECU. Or you leave it like that and let the ECU to learn up your driving habbit and customise it to your form. The ECU is designed to be very intelligent as to pick up the driving habiit of the driver and it will adjust accordingly. Of course, reset is prefferred.
Generally, resetting the ECU is very expansive; range from RM40~200 depends on the type of car. I am not sure abt Eastar or will it be under warranty(dun know).
Just keep us update, are you still having this feeling of under power? Reset done?

Added on July 24, 2009, 8:00 pmCherry Service Centre Puchong, maybe you can help us to answer these questions. When the battery terminals are disconnected for refill battery water or changing battery or battery dead, does it need to reset the ECU? How much is to reset ECU? Doesn it under warrenty? Please advice.
Appreciate if you can advice us. Thank you.

To Mr Adam,

Just one question for your sir,

If i change my CE rim to other rim is effect to the waranty? Hope u can clarify it for me, tq
*
Dear Moncheh,

Yes it will effect the warranty for ur shock absorber.
If u plan to change new rims, i suggest u wait until ur absorber warranty period finish.
The period warranty for front and rear absorber is 12month or 40000 km.

Regards,
Adam icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi Mr Adam,

Do I need to make appointment, go to your place to solve the Wind sound problem ??

Dear Dingolon,

We have acquired the methods for reducing wind noise and smell problem from Butterworth SC - gratitude to Andy and staff.
However, we have not bought the neccessary materials to solve the problem.

We will only try to take in appointment for wind sound problem by next week when we have tried it out on several new vehicles.
The sound and smell problem has been reduced but however not perfectly. It is just an improvement. Methods of reducing
the sound is still being research and done with cooperation from Eastar customers - gratitude to Mr. Teh and many others
for many valuable advice.

We will announce the price once determined by the management. Thanks for inquiring and will keep you updated.

For inquiries please call 03-80750868.
