U are most welcome bro.

I am happy to answer your questions as I hope this Chery club will become bigger and I can request budget from management to do convoy in the future. wink.gif

However, to answer your question. The promotion is still valid but with limited ready stock left. (Once u have booked the car then we can reserve the stock for u.)

Interest rate 3.55-3.9% (U can get lower if u have good pay record and not blacklisted)

Loan can go up to maximum 9 years.

Here's the calculation of the monthly installment.

Selling Price           80,388
10% D/Payment       8,388
90% Loan Amount   72,000 @ 3.7%

Monthly Installment
5 yrs = RM 1422.00
7 yrs = RM 1079.00
9 yrs = RM  888.00 (NICE!)

The price will increase to RM87,388 if the promotion stock is cleared!

IT'S being touted as the Ace of Space, and this Chinese crossover from Chery is here in Brunei. The seven-seater Cross Eastar has, its press release says, all the comforts of a high-class station wagon with enough space to fit your whole family comfortably.

Claiming it offers the best of both worlds value and price distributor TCY Motors says the MPV boasts distinctive sophisticated styling with a sporty edge, state-of-the art features, power and luxurious interior.

"The Eastar also adopts the high-class car chassis adjusted by the Lotus Company, with a hint of the French TGV or Japan's bullet train about its styling and the clean flowing lines it employs," it says.

The side profile is one that employs a high slab-sided waistline, which along with a straight non-parallel roofline, means the front of the cabin has an airy look, but this gradually morphs into a more defensive/aggressive style towards the rear.

"The Cross Eastar illustrates the harmonious perfection of crossovers with its 1.6m height which provides the best field of vision based on the exterior height and human vision height," the company says, adding that it is the most appropriate distribution of vehicle length, chassis and tire integration technique while obtaining the best wind resistance coefficient for driving safety.

The Cross Eastar is powered by a big Mitsubishi 2.4-litre, long stroke four-cylinder engine. While peak torque of 144lb/ft arrives at the crucial mid-range 2,500-3,000rpm, there is plenty of torque on offer from the engine.

The Cross Eastar's multivariant feature of the MPV means the seats can be laid down to give more space and arranged in combinations to create a comfortable environment for passengers.

The car will retail for $34,750 and will be launched at the TCY showroom in Batu Bersurat on Friday.

few review lines adopt from my review ...he he....

6. During high speed at 160KMH, this Chery MPV is stable even at Sungai Buluh corner heading to KL at 140KMH. But from 130 - 160 KMH, a bit heavy, takes some time and skill ( using normal auto )

7. On the suspension overall performance is ok ( compare to avanza / innova / naza ria ) but if choose 17 or 18 inch rim might be helpful in traction and grip ( wider tyre ) might be needed compare to the std rim and tyre

my family really enjoys the Chery as compared to the Honda CRV - mainly due to the space and comfort and the quiet engine

another defect I found...
the rear side windows had some defect mark (40%) which cannot be rub-off, like oil stain...if looked at some angle, it's looked like rainbow colour. anyone had this problem??
called the SA, he told me that it is a glass defect and need to bring back to the service centre (not sure need to be replace or not) as he found a few car from the same batch had the same problem as well...if need to be replaced, who will pay for the tinting again...haiyah...so unlucky...

Nitrogen Gas To Inflate Car Tyres

'To be or not to be' has always been the question attached to the much debatable topic of inflating car tyres using Nitrogen gas. Nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic gas that forms about 78% of the Earth’s atmosphere. While there are few people who believe that using nitrogen gas to inflate car tyres is beneficial, there are others who believe that has many disadvantages. Though nitrogen gas has been widely used in the tyres of racing cars, aircraft and heavy commercial vehicles, its use in the normal passenger cars is a relatively new concept. Read on to find the pros and cons of inflating the car tyres with nitrogen.

Pros And Cons of Nitrogen Gas For Inflating Car Tires

Pros

* Nitrogen reduces the running temperature of the tyre. The moisture content of nitrogen leads to a cooler running tyre, which is advantageous when the car is operating at its maximum load and speed capacity.
* Nitrogen in tyres improves the ride quality. That gas is very slightly lighter than air and thus, benefits the tires in terms of un-sprung weight.
* It is assumed that Nitrogen increases tyre life. It reduces the operating temperature during times of load and speed and thus, enhances the life of a tyre.
* It is believed that nitrogen keeps tyre pressures more constant. The gas is assumed to provide more stable pressure range in connection to the tyre temperature. However, again, the factor is applicable in times of heavy load/high-speed conditions.
* Tyres are susceptible to loss of pressure as a result of being porous in nature. Due to its chemical structure, Nitrogen leak out slowly as compared to compressed air. Therefore, it slows the rate of pressure loss.
* Oxygen reacts with the tyre and rim materials causing oxidation or the rust formation in the metal parts. Nitrogen, being an inert gas, does not react with the tyre and rim materials.

Cons

* Inflating tires with Nitrogen is quite costly. The cost generally comes to somewhere around $5 to $10 per tyre for a passenger car.
* Filling tyres with nitrogen requires more maintenance as compared to compressed gas.
* The availability factor is the biggest disadvantage of inflating tyres with nitrogen, as the gas is not readily available. It is usually found only with specialist tyre dealers.

****the pain for kidney stone....is damn painful...........

Added on November 27, 2008, 12:30 pm Nitrogen Gas for Tyres

OK I just tried out Nitrogen gas for my tyres. It costs rm20 for 4 tyres with free top ups for 1 year. Not too bad. Did it at Chian Soon Tayar Pro. So far haven't really noticed anything much, but will try it out for a week before commenting. This is a useful fact sheet from RACQ.

It is well known that nitrogen gas has been used to inflate the tyres of racing cars, aircraft and heavy commercial vehicles for some time. However it is only relatively recently that it has come into popular use in normal passenger cars.

So what is nitrogen?
Nitrogen is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and non-toxic gas that forms about 78% of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The benefits claimed for using nitrogen over compressed air for inflating tyres are that it:

* Reduces the tyre’s running temperature
* Improves the ride quality
* Increases tyre life
* Keeps tyre pressures more constant
* Slows the rate of pressure loss
* Doesn’t react with the tyre and rim materials

The following is a discussion of these points.

Reduces the tyre’s running temperature
While there is some truth in this statement, the difference relates to the moisture content of the inflation gas rather than the use of nitrogen per se. In fact, dry compressed air will also produce a cooler running tyre. It’s also only likely to be of benefit in cases where the tyres are operating at or near their maximum load and/or speed capacities.

Nitrogen improves ride quality
No explanation has been offered as to why this should be the case, however there should be no significant difference in the way air and nitrogen behave at the pressures and temperatures a tyre normally operates at. The only theoretical benefit may be in terms of unsprung weight, as nitrogen is very slightly lighter than air, although the difference would be negligible and unlikely to be detectable.

Nitrogen increases tyre life
A tyre’s operating temperature plays a part in how rapidly it will wear. A reduction in temperature at high speeds and loads will be beneficial. However claims by some supporters that nitrogen will double tyre life are questionable.

Reduced pressure build up
We all know that tyre pressures should only be checked when cold. The reason for this is that the pressure increases in relation to temperature. Nitrogen is claimed to provide a more stable pressure range in relation to tyre temperature. However once again the moisture content plays a bigger part than the gas itself. The greatest benefits are likely to be achieved under heavy load and/or high-speed conditions.

Pressure loss is slower with nitrogen than with air
Tyre liners and tubes are to some degree porous, and as a result air will eventually leach out. Hence the need to regularly check tyre pressures. Nitrogen, due to its chemical structure, is slower to leak out than compressed air. Therefore the pressure loss is slower. However that doesn’t mean that regular pressure checks can be neglected as there is still the possibility of a puncture or some other form of slow leak.

Nitrogen doesn’t react with the metal wheel rim or the tyre materials
Probably true. The presence of oxygen and moisture inside the tyre can cause oxidisation (rust) of the metal components. There is also a suggestion that air reacts with the rubber of the tyre itself, however it is not clear if this is detrimental or in any way reduces the life of the average car tyre. Because nitrogen is an inert gas and because it is dry, this problem is, in theory, eliminated. However, unless the tyre is evacuated (i.e. the air is removed) before the nitrogen is added, there will still be some air and possibly moisture in the tyre.

Nitrogen also has a few disadvantages that should be taken into account. These include:

* Cost
* Maintenance, and
* Availability

Summary
While using nitrogen in passenger car tyres may produce some benefits in some applications, it is questionable if the average motorist will derive any measurable benefit from its use.

Nitrogen does not remove or reduce the need to check tyre pressures as the risk of a puncture or a slow leak is not altered.

Many of the benefits claimed of nitrogen could be achieved by using dry compressed air from a properly designed and maintained compressed air system.

Nitrogen cannot replace regular maintenance. Regardless of what inflation gas is used, maximum tyre life will only be achieved if the vehicle and tyres are properly maintained. That means regular checking of tyre pressures, wheel balance and alignment.
