Got my Eastar on Friday. Travelled from BM to KL @ 110~130km/h & 4 adults, the petrol used is RM134.5 for total journey 690km; FC is RM0.195/km. Very satisfy with the fuel consumption and the power. Eastar is value for money; it is a good & comfortable car after all.

just nak share sikit. mungkin yang terpilih ajer yang kena. kalau kena, tak perlu lah panik sangat.. aku rasa better kita buat 1 buku panduan, how to tackle certain problem..

so, kalau lah berlaku lagi (since aku yang rasmikan penyakit tu), just advisekan diorang suruh refer kat SC kuantan.

adios...

p/s : semalam ada sorang owner tukar emblem tu depan dan belakang, warna silver dan besar, tapi tak sebesar Triton punya, tapi memang mari...
kos nya pon lebih murah dari apa yang aku ushar kat klang valley...

Dear All,

After spending sometime looking for other model using 2.4L Mitsubishi 4G64 as use by Chery

Check it out guys;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Sirius_engine#4G64

4G64

The longitudinal 4G64 is the second largest variant, at (2350 cc). Early models were 8-valve SOHC, but a later 16-valve SOHC and DOHC version was also produced. All used MPFI with an 86.5 mm bore and 100 mm stroke. The 4G64 was also available with gasoline direct injection. The version used in the Chrysler Sebring/Stratus coupes produced 152 hp (110 kW) at 5500 rpm with 162 ft·lbf (214 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm. The Chrysler version features fracture-split forged powder metal connecting rods. The 4g64 is an interference motor like the 4g63.

Applications:

* 1987–1990 Mitsubishi Sapporo

I am new here too. I just got my car last Friday and I dove fr BM to KL to feel the car. My family members(3) like it and they said it is very confortable ride. As a driver, I am very satisfy with the performance especially the power and the fuel consumption is RM0.195/km for an brand new engine(what I mean is "the engine is not run in yet").
No major problem; just some small problems which I know it can be fixed. Eastar is value for money. No car with such spec for just mere RM80k. My advice is inspect your car closely b4 you decide to take that car. Go to sales center which has stock to choose and allow you to test drive.

Gogogo Eastar! You will love it! thumbup.gif

sunroof with leather seat .. lawa kan .. kan kan kan

hati-hati dengan latch clip utk ubah posisi kedudukan kerusi di bahagian belakang , senang patah/pecah kalau tarik kuat sangat . chery should change this latch to better quality material not just normal pvc/plastic to handle strong spring and cable

a happy chery user ...

temp meter? is it a kind of meter which is normally used in turbo car?

but really a heart pain moment when they started to barai all the components on the dashboard..

they have 1 instrument to read and reset the Chery system, but still, the instrument can't read the temperature..

yes, there is still people out there telling me to choose livina other than this car, but come on... this is MY decision and using MY money.
in MY mind, if I face something, I will get involved in that problem, not to run away from it. so, I hope CMC will have the same direction as mine. Lets go thru it together. Who knows, because of our effort, Chery will grows well and improvised from time to time.

if that happen, for sure this car will be the most valuable car in the market (in Malaysia) and of course will contribute to high second hand value.

what I can foresee, the price of this car will be around 50k after 5 years and 30k at the 10th years. lets us fixed it at this way. don't be worry, this is a nice car for middle class earner and don't have to worry what other people says.

One for all, all for Chery.

It's only my prediction, not an obligation. But i do hope the 2nd hand value is high eventhough i don't plan to sell it.

Wa lau.. jealous lah to hear on the lower interest rates....
