If You can leave with a Pxotxn, you can leave with CE. How many who bought CE today is driving a 2.0L above car? Frankly, if you can spend the amount to get a Wish or Stream or Grandis would buy CE? Face the truth. At this price, CE has no competitor. Its real competitor is really the Livina (80-90K), Avanza(60-70K), Innova(90-100K) & Rondo(80-90K). No point argue too much.

hello to all CE owners.

i am deciding whether to buy this CE and have a few questions that you guys sure to be able to help.

how is the air cond? as good as proton?
Answer: It's more powerful than Proton. THe draw back is that there's no air-con vent that shoot directly to the face on 2nd & 3rd row seat. It's on the floor. You need to housekeep your car so that the air-con vent on the floor is effective. I found it very pratical though.

how is the suspension system and feel? similar to toyota?
The suspension system is not torsion Beam as oppose to Proton and Avanza. CE adapted the multi-link system where it provides superior comfort. It's similar to Innova suspension system. I've driven Estima before, I can tell you this car handling and comfort level is above or on-par with Estima.

which sales person would you guys recommend?
Gotta check with Central people, I'm from North.

what are the common complains of this CE? such as wind sound from during high speed ... etc ..
could those complain be settle by the SC or mechanic outside?
Answer: I perhaps you got to read through the pages to find out more. All in all, the complaints are for those accessories, nothing to do with basic system such as engine, gearbox, ABS, airbag, EDB, traction control etc. Though, Noise level is somthing that you may need to spend some effort on. Generally, if you're driving below 90kmh most of the time. This car is perfect 10. Only when you're driving at highway, wind sound is a problem.

by the way, i am in PJ area.

Hope to get some honest and speedy respond here.

thanks

I've to echo what smliu has been getting. The FC I'm getting at 80% highway and 20% town driving is 9.3km/l while purely town driving is 9.1km/l. I tried an aggressive driving style, like those hard acceleration and hard breaking, it scores 8.2 km/l. It really depends on your driving style.

If you drive aggressively, you're wasting a lot of energy generated as you brake. Therefore high FC.
If you drive defensivelyl, I call it preditable driving habit, that you anticipate traffic ahead and adjust your pedal without needing to breake too much, your FC will be good.

My comparison with Camry 2.4l, average FC is 10.8km/l on normal driving.

Decision is individual to make. If you're comparing Eastar with Viva 850, yes, Eastar Minum Minyak.

If you compare with 2.4 Camry, Eastar is slightly higher FC. Initial investment costs, 50% lower with 7 seats...

My target is Camry 2.4 since 3 years ago but then picked this car instead because I don't want to pay 50% to Government for nothing. I can't afford it.
