It just seems like the progress is too slow.
The buses are still inefficient.Taxi still charge too much or dont use meter.KTM always late. The only thing i like is LRT. I dont think it will improve much. |

QUOTE(KVReninem @ Oct 25 2008, 09:37 AM) u go see la...msia..oh msia... Concrete is cheap. If im not wrong.always build something from concrete...n wasted so much resources...gzzzzzzzzz linking here n ther no point if the route travel is nt even feassible... QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Oct 25 2008, 09:38 AM) True, but to abandon it is unlikely, because in this case, construction has been well advanced in Ipoh-Padang Besar and the participation of foreign company like IRCON in Seremban-Gemas project.......every week i take photos of BTS and Sentul-Batu Caves, abandoning it will backfire, hehe... Hope so la.Better dont abandon it la. KL - Butterworth, 3 hours Ipoh - Penang, 1.5 hours Speed? 140 to 160 km/h QUOTE(cutiepooh @ Oct 25 2008, 09:39 AM) last week i went out with friends, v took taxi, so v tahan 1 taxi he said RM30.. KV: morning~=P QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Oct 25 2008, 10:26 AM) I was refering to rolling stock purchase... The thing is there is no sign of integration. We dont need monorail or Star at all as we just need LRT to extent it's length.KTM track existed long time already and it was built by the British orginally...thus the metre gauge was there and in 1980's, the government double track and electrify the lines......thus, it's a valid reason... LRT exists for one valid reason, it is different than KTM, because it is urban rail, not like KTM which is for suburban/ regional train... Different rail system is a not an issue, as each system is suited for different situation, for example the monorail is more feasible inside dense CBD because it takes less footprint and less time to construct... What is in question, the integration, and i mean the interchange....classic case? KL Monorail to KL Sentral Bank Negara to Bandaraya Bukit Nanas to Dang Wangi Simply too tiring to walk! Having one system from ground up is better than having 3 systems that dont work together. |

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Oct 25 2008, 10:43 AM) What i am wondering is, why there are two different LRT systems, which is Bombardier ART and Adtranz? Kelana Jaya line capacity will maxed out in the future with the use of 4 car train, yet it is not enough, consider the expense of building LRT line.....even Tokyo Monorail can handle a lot more... The places outside KL Sentral better be developed soon.Kota Damansara desperately needing some other form of public transport. It seems the land outside KL Sentral will be developed soon, hehe... As usual, those people who are in charge never plan ahead. In the end,we are the ones who suffer. |
