walk into a 'switch' store and play with the ipod touch 1st gen or 2nd gen if they have it. similar
internet using safari.
quite good. but cannot log into maybank2u.

you can bookmark a page eg: hotmail.com or this forum page,
and save it as a button on the home screen(springboard i think it's called)
then when you press the home button, scroll left or right to find the button and select it. simple

go to phone shop and get the stand with suction cup to stick to the windshield. rm20.
then use it in your house. stick to table, desk, window speaker system .

use it with my remote control rm99 + rm20. still cheaper than the universal dock adapter tongue.gif

And by the way, do the touch really come with a dock?
*
it comes with a piece of plastic called a 'dock adapter'

if you have a apple docking speaker system like apple hifi, you use it.

the dock is a big rectangle cavity. and the dock adapter fills the cavity so your ipod fits snugly in it.

but it is kinda pointless because even if you don't use it, your ipod still fits because the dock connector can support your ipod touch, no need the dock adapter.

depends on your 'head unit'.
you can use a two sided 3.5mm cable if your car radio has aux in (line in).

yeah, good workmanship

Added on November 29, 2008, 12:50 amyou can try using the original plastic box that the ipod touch came in.
that would look really stylish.

although the acrylic might be harder to cut than the cardboard tongue.gif

strong enough?
what is the use? in the car?
if in the car, it doesn't have to be very strong because the car radio antenna is on the roof on the car...

Added on November 29, 2008, 2:20 amwhat kind of head unit do you have in your car? does it have line in /aux in?
the cassette adapters work too, it is like a cassette with a wire comeing out. the wire is 3.5mm plug on the end and it goes in you ipod.

Nobody says u can't use the 3.5 jack...

just that the dock line out produce more power and better SQ... smile.gif

for the ipod, with the equaliser on flat or off,
there is more than enough power and sound quality from the 3.5mm jack.

ppl get confused, because if you connect a diskman (sony) for example with the volume on 8 or 9 there is distortion (pechar),<how to spell malay> and if the 'mega bass' enhancer is on, there will be too much bass in the signal qhich might get clipped off and result in square waves and a blown subwoofer.

i can tell you from experience, ipod with equaliser on flat or off is fine to connect with an amp or preamp or headunit.

i tot all ipod apps Must buy from itunes store.
itunes takes a 30% cut.

if bought anywhere else, it is considered illegal. if you want to break the law do a jailbreak. it's free somemore.
