wad about bluetooth ? is the 2nd generation equipped with that ?

Hmm i suggest not to put up something that is not too sure yet..

It might lead to confusion to some ppl who hasn't done any research on the new ipod touch..

As for my source, there's no built in mic for 2G iPod Touch though..

GOT! but there're good and bad news =)

Good news - Easily the most interesting thing about the "funnest iPod ever" is that iFixit found a Broadcom BCM4325 Bluetooth chip inside (translation: the iPod touch now has Bluetooth—kinda). If you followed our live coverage of Tuesday's announcement, watched the event via streaming QuickTime, or downloaded the podcast, you may have noticed that Jobs didn't say a word about this much-requested feature of the iPod touch. That's probably because, while the new iPod touch is packing Bluetooth, it is apparently locked down by Nike and Apple specifically to be used with the iPod touch's new built-in Nike Plus compatibility.

Bad news - If you're planning on cracking open your own new iPod as soon as you get it home, iFixit has already published its guides for the iPod touch 2G and iPod nano 4G. As for the iPod touch's Bluetooth chip, we'll have to wait and see if the hacking community can make anything of it.

What does this mean, you ask? Well it’s simply, lad. It means that microphone support has been added to the New iPod Touch, and with very warm welcome, at that.The bluetooth chip and headphone jack microphone support were both noted by the folks at iFixit (see here).

There's really got a build in mic inside. but so far its still not supported.

Yes I do know that ... But the problem is...This year bought alot of gadgets already ... Not good being so greedy ! I'm still a secondary school student ( If this applies ) The 16GB is just ok for my budget ... 32GB is around Rm1.6k which I can't afford it =P

The Microphone support is a jack for the new earphone with built in mic or the mic adapter.

it's not the whole mic is built in, just support

Well it's pretty clear how things work here..

as for the bluetooth, basically it is used to pair with Nike + ( that's how Apple make money )

and with the mic support, used for the in ear headphone with built in mic ( USD79 )

Apple won't give out something for free..there's always money involved.

another question that i need some clarify, anyone know that does the "shake to shuffle" function builded in at ipod 2nd gen? i people say yes while some say no.

need some clarify & references for this.

where am i gonna get ipod touch's screen protector and casing in M'sia retail?

i still don't dare to bring it out... scared exposed to tiny scratches...

nope the 1st gen don't have the function..coz don't have that bluetooth chipset to support

1 day only eat 1 meal(for me is dinner), i think your mum got cook you dinner rite?
then for the lunch, you can take some food from home to school. like biscuit, the rice that prepared last nite and so on.

with this way, 1 month can really save down lot of $.

haha yeah man..gonna get my 2nd gen soon but not gonna sell off my old one..

u can call them and check and see, for queensbay, u can ask criollo, she works der i not working this month (exams are taking away my soul) i also not sure on the status of things at the shop actually.. haha

When is the 3rd gen coming out ? I'll look into the situaton ... Might get 16GB or 32GB xD
