QUOTE(commanderz @ Oct 25 2008, 05:01 AM) no problem wif the game....Dx 10 + ultra high + AA x2.......collecting diamond now...so far 60 only.....and i feel the game is abit disappointed......the mission are keep doing the samething over & over & over & over again....and the physics does really that good compare to crysis.......and the story is extreme boring.....compare to far cry 1....it just like another STALKER feeling game...oh well....zzz Mind sharing your average fps benchmark results running first demo (short run)? p.s. I found that the game runs better in DX10 under Vista than DX9. Like 10fps faster.

Weird right? I re-tested using the Ranch Demo. In DX10, it's 6 fps more.

Yeah, I actually took the time to bullshit this thread by photochopping my benches. It would make me famous I guess.
/sarcasm.
Seriously, if someone who has similar specs as mine, please post your scores as well. I suspect ATi's lastest 'hotfix' driver may have something to do with this.

QUOTE(Boomeraangkid @ Oct 25 2008, 10:04 PM) howw to use the FOV tool for 1280x1024? wat settings for X and Y? 1280x1024 is not widescreen as the aspect ratio is 4:3, not 16:9 or 16:10. You don't need the FOV tool QUOTE(jimmy G @ Oct 25 2008, 10:26 PM) I am just wondering is it possible to change the camera view while on the car really annoying always seeing the car's hood it's really restricting my view towards the outside You can't. Try to get used to it, it'll be easy after a while. You can move the mouse to look around as you drive, maybe that'll help a little. This post has been edited by ZipD: Oct 25 2008, 10:31 PM

When the light is permanently green, it only means you're POINTING in the right direction. If you continue in this direction, eventually you'll hear a loud beeping sound indicating that the diamond is VERY near.
Good luck.

Maybe you walk past the diamond? The diamond is in a case. You can't miss it, it glows like crazy.

QUOTE(clayclws @ Oct 27 2008, 10:41 AM) The game stutters on ATI cards. The hotfix didn't do much. Ubisoft keeps screwing with ATI eh? Fallout 3 comes out...this game is going to be tuck away till I have nothing left to play. The stuttering only occurs in DX10 iirc. Just type 'gfx_maxfps 30' (or 40 or watever your average fps shows from the benchmarks) and it should solve it. You'll have to do this each time you start the game though.

QUOTE(Edison83 @ Oct 27 2008, 04:10 PM) did u guys even bother search for update? or even go to official website?? geeees here the hot fix for ATI graphic card user For XP: http://www.bigdownload.com/games/far-cry-2...fix-patch-winxpFor Vista : http://www.bigdownload.com/games/far-cry-2...ix-patch-vista/Erm, I'm just gonna assume you're trying to help so here's the thing: The hotfix is only to improve performance, not fix the stuttering. How do I know? Coz I'm actually using the hotfix drivers and I still have stuttering. From ATi: QUOTE * Improves performance for the DirectX 9 version of Far Cry 2 on CrossFire™ compatible systems * Improves performance for the DirectX 10 version of Far Cry 2 on both single and CrossFire™ compatible systems EDIT: There's a new version for the widescreen fix: http://tocaedit.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=122QUOTE ============================================================================ Version History ============================================================================ - What's new in v3.0 on 10/25/08? * Fixed a Crash Bug when using disable * Fixed Water Reflection Bug with XFOV
- What's new in v2.0 on 10/25/08? * Fixed Lighting Bug with XFOV
- What's new in v1.0 on 10/24/08? * first release This post has been edited by ZipD: Oct 27 2008, 05:40 PM

You'll need the AutoHotKey program to run the script.
