I'm in the same boat as yours. The original Far Cry was better. Guess that Far Cry franchise isn't for Ubisoft to handle...

i prefer Farcry 2 than 1st one. i dun really like 1st Farcry, n i didnt even finished the game.

BTW i damm like Far Cry 2 and Far Cry as well.Both have their very own uniqe gameplay.Far Cry improved alot especially in 24 hours weather changing.

I kinda like this game. It really does gives player lots of freedom compared to any other FPS except GTA4
I've finished it once and now replaying using other character...but there's this buddy bug that makes my buddy killing me every time he rescued me

that's because you did not max the graphics because your GC is 2 crappy

nah..this game seems very repeatative..
n the map sucks..when u open ur map and drive at the same time, u have to look down abit..especially cars

hey guys, i just tried far cry 2...quite realistic game and beautiful but still need a lot of improvement from the lazy ubisoft...

I had a few probs with this game too, when i play the game i got artifacts ( green dot and few others artifact ), and also weird lags ( the fps never drop but the game just lag, probably mouse lag? )

i set the display setting to all ultra high, 8x AA, v-sync enabled, and using it in dx10...

but i found out that if i set the game to dx9 the lag and the artifact just gone...maybe the "DUNIA" engine dx10 prob ?

hmm...just wanna ask....if we dont do the medicine quest underground thingy..will the medicine finish?

You mean the malaria? If it is, yes it will finish and you have to find the quest to get more of it.

ya i very agree you.Sudden lag especially when driving.Hope it is bug.

When you gonna consume the last pill, it'll show that the bottle is empty. Then you have to back to the Underground to get quest.

Tried for fun. He was dead after the 2nd stab. Checked the statistics and it shows 1 at the buddy deceased

The gfx issues are normally due drivers, try using the latest drivers.

And abt performance, the latest drivers its more optimised for FarCry2.

I've switched to the 180.43 driver just now. A slight boost in FPS
Previously I'm only gettting around an average 23FPS in med settings. Now I got around 27
