hello everyone

im new here..i just wanna ask if any one u guys knows on how to determine RES's gender. some one told me that it could tell by looking at it's shell, a darker green is female while a light green is male.is it true??

i have to say that ur RES are very lovely. i have a pair at my house but they are doing pretty strange lately..
every morning, i put them on my balcony coz im going to work and at around 6pm, i'll put them back in my room
the sun rays dont shine on them directly so i guess it is ok since they wont be that hot during the noon.
but lately, they wont eat that much like before.only eat one-two pallets each per day. i feed them when im arrive at home in a different tank.
is it normal?they use to eat up to 3 pallets before. at what time they usually bask? do i need to put on the light the whole time including nights?
