Question: For like for ELMO's case, would the size of the tank affect the growth of his snapper? Coz some fishes tend to grow faster/bigger when they are reared in larger tanks. Was juz wondering if that applies to TTT also?
And also i think that elmo, you'd wanna get the maximum size u can now so that you don't have to keep changing when ur snapper gets bigger that'd save u alot of money n time to chg..my opinion.. |

First of all,to even let u know where the vets are..you'll have to tell us where you're from..lol..anywayz,theres a pin up board of all available vets at the main page..pls look it up..
Thx uzairi for the info..meaning if a specimen is housed outdoors, they'd most likely grow at the same rate in the wild.. |

Well,i wouldn't know..its wat they wrote in the papers so i guess we'll just have to accept that. Another question would be, what are they gonna do with it now since they did not say its dead and from the picture - it looks like its still alive..i hope..

Selamat Hari Raya people.
I'm in need of some help. Recently i just got a IST as a gift. A 2.9 incher. He is always sleeping but that should be normal for them and its still a baby per se. During some photoperiods, it'll wake up and walk a bit den sleep again. The problem is, he's not eating. After having him for a few days, he's only eaten like 3 times. 1st day, 1 leaf of sawi. Clovers & grass during our session in the morning sun. I'm trying to ask if theres any way for me to get him to eat. I've tried giving him hibiscus leaves, sawi, clover and grass. I'm really worried and I humbly ask for anyone's help. =X p.s. Just saw that his eye has sum liquid coming out. Don't know if it's tears or wat but he's still not eating. Aihs..worried =X Edit 2: Not opening his eyes at all and not moving during our tis morning's sun session. There is liquid in both eyes now, he's constantly rubbing his eyes. Plus he hasn't eaten and excreted in 1 full day already. What does these symptoms mean? I need help.. This post has been edited by blazin_fir3: Sep 21 2009, 10:27 AM |

Hey Sam, I don't know its condition before i got it. I got it in some card board box which was given by the pet shop.
But i'm using newspaper as substrate. Currently using a 2x3 container with no lighting. Have something covering the top for shade and kept at a lighted place. I bring him out to the garden for a walk with shade nearly every morning as long as it is not raining. So he can always go hide whenever he's not feeling nice in the sun. 1st day i got him, he was a bit restless and i think hungry so i gave him a bit of cabbage (the only veggie i had at that time). Ate it all up. That was in the afternoon den he slept all the way till evening where i gave him 1 branch to leaf of sawi/mustard green. After that, activity went down - not opening the eyes, constantly rubbing with liquid coming out suspect to be rheum. Pee was normal but Poo is all white poo since i got him. Was feeling desperate so i gave him cabbage again which he took a few bites and went back to sleep but done w/o opening the eyes. He's still moving with his eyes closed cause he's asleep but after a while i check on him..he has moved. Theres a few times where he went to sleep on top of the water source i provided but after a few hours i moved him. Is tat advisable coz it's rainy season now and i don't want him to catch a cold or sumthink. |
