AST - Alligator Snapper Turtle

Do remember they will eat even more as they grow up !! ie a few kg per specimen per week of food !!

Try to wean them off live food (save you heaps in food bill ) - Frozen seafood or any meat item are equally good !! Try to feed whole item (even thou foul water real quick) but better for your animals

Whole item as in prawn with shell(no head and tail pls ) Fish with gut , Chicken bone in ...etc

Will AST going to have overfeeding issue like other types of turtle?

yeah right....my AST now 7inch+ n eating like hell....rm8 baby carps done in less than 2 hours

btw is there anyway to keep sea turtles? just out of my curiosity ...ive seen some one keeping it...

Haha, you should see how my 8 inch matamata eat, like vacum cleaner. anyway try bigger feeder fishes like goldfish as for 7 inch ast baby carps are just not filling enough, cheers. icon_idea.gif

Why not if you can provide
- Saltwater
- Big enough space (grow fast outgrow 4 ft tank in less than 2 yrs )
