Ahnien, need some advise here. Something to do with M2D. When i was using Jaime's it was ok. PDAVIET also was ok. Then i flashed to 2 different ROMs from forum.xdadevelopers. Now, when i switch back to Jaime's ROM, the M2D does not work. It says 'tap here to launch touchflo' but when i click on it it will say loading and after 2-3 seconds it will return to 'tap here to launch touchflo'.

I'm confused rclxub.gif

Edit : My last option i did was switching the ROM back to the older version of Jaime's (not the newer version). Everything is ok now. The only difference i did was i cleared the files in the temp folder before extracting the new ones. Not sure whether that helped.

yeah, i did face the same problem also when i tried reinstalling M2D on my stealth. i gave up, reverting back to just the normal today screen. that's enough for me, and makes my stealth less laggy too smile.gif

flashing in the roms back n forth shudnt have affected the m2d to stop working.
cuz flashing in a new rom is like formating the whole thing. so the previous settings, files, etc wont exist anymore after u flash in a new rom.
so flashing back n forth wont be the problem of ur m2d start up.

its either the m2d in the rom you flashed in was corrupted or sumthing. or mayb lacking of ram/memory related issue. or the m2d pre-installed in the rom is not suitable for ur atom. it might be the problem with the m2d in that specific rom.

the senario that you mentioned, happened to me once, when i was DOING A MANUAL M2D INSTALLATION into a rom without M2D.

I think it's more related to lack of ram. There are so many nice roms but most of it have problem with bluetooth. The PDAVIET is the best IMO. cry.gif

i had bluetooth problem oso. as mentioned b4....
i oso wonder wats wrong. but had no problems on connectivity with bluetooth headsets la.

jus sometimes file sending/receiving got problems lo. but oso related to devices. sending/receiving to/from some phones no problem, some got problem hmm.gif

i rmb last time got a fellow forumer from xda-dev taught me to change some values in the registry to solve the problem. but the problem still persist hmm.gif

all i can say, all roms - cooked or original released roms oso got flaw n not perfect.
since basically, the WM OS is like distributed like freewares(not tat it doesnt have license), but not like laptops or comps, that we need to pay extra for the OS.

personally for me, i try out a few roms, test it out for like a week. then see which one gives me the least problems(lags, hang or other problem which may limit my usage). then pick 1 to use until dunno when...

i wont simply update rom even if ther is a new release, if im satisfied/happy with the one i'm using.
until something really bad happened tongue.gif
then rom testing begins again tongue.gif

Yup, i came across registry things for bluetooth but many gave feedback that it does not work.

At least u try for a week. For me, max is 2 days if it's problematic. Since i'm free, i've been trying so many ROMs over the last few days. I just installed one now, looks very promising. Still in testing phase. biggrin.gif

bluetooth, apparently, is a A2DP issue. I am using a stock ROM for the previous weeks but right now giving another shot to PDAVIET's. There's no point in buying a customizable phone if i'm using a stock ROM isn't it? Hehe. I'm going to dive into the whole registry editing stuff after this!
