Lol... I have had a few friends having the same 'nForce controller problem'...

One of their solutions is to NOT use the Windows Update offered (if any)nForce Controller driver... rather, the one that came with your comp / old driver version.

How to remove it IF i accidentally installed it through Windowa Update? I tried to find it in Security Center/Firewall/Exception BUT the problem still persist. Could not find nForce controller anywhere. Please help.

I am very sure it is in Control Panel > Add Remove Programs...

Install the drivers that CAME with your computer... it is old, but that's the point.

If i remove it, doesn't it means the entire nForce thingy is gone? Any repercussion on this? Sorry for this super noob question. How to install the driver that CAME with the computer? Sorry again for another super noob question.

The disc(s) that came with your computer when you bought it... it should be on a CD / DVD for 'Installation utilities'. If you remove it, yes, the nForce drivers are gone, but you can install them again. You just need to use the old drivers.

The PC that I bought were from neither DELL nor other branded PC. So, can I assume that the CD/DVD that you mention is my windows Vista installation disc? Or its my GC Driver disc. Thanks for your advice.

Ok, looks like you're on your own. Since I assumed it to come with the software utilities for your laptop, I kinda think you need to download the drivers yourself. Anyways, since its getting complicated, just (I hate to say this) use a different media player software.

Just uninstall the old drivers. Windows Update might detect the hardware again, and even give you the update. You'll need to google around for the nForce drivers.
