Actually i just move to Vista 32bit system few days ago. Just wondering what software u guys use on Vista, any recommended software or tweak to make Vista even greater? Please share with review thanks

1)Microsoft Vista Business 32bits Edition
Of couse i need an OS to run with my system.

2)Firefox 3.03
A must firefox browser for me. Very useful, safe n fast

3)CCleaner
This really helpful when i try to clean all rubbish from my pc, sometimes it does replace my recycle bin

4)Itunes
To keep track of my Music and sync with IPOD

5)Klite codec, Real alternative and Quicktime
To play all those movie format.

6)AVG Free Edition
Of couse i also need a normal lite antivirus. So far "OK" with AVG

7)3DMark Vantage
To test or benchmark how far my system to reach it limit.

8)Adobe Reader, Flashget, XunleiBT, WinRAR
A common software that fit daily need

9)Nero 6 and Alcohol 120%
To burn, create CD Image

So this my common software currently running on my Vista. Beside is there any Tweak for Vista? Disable some unused programs or services? And also any good recommendation for defrag HDD? Thanks

I got more than half of your software. Just that I'm using Kaspersky and the sidebar. Nothing much to add since I'm using it for gaming.

revo uninstaller, or any sort of similar uninstaller program.
IMO, dis is important in every OS if u dun wanna suffer from slowdown & lag after certain period of using ur OS.

basically, built in windows uninstaller r pretty useless.

many people dun understand y OS will slowdown after certain period of usage.
other den virus, spyware or other similar thing, registry is wat meks ur OS slow down.

wen u install & uninstall s/ of games, it will leave a record on registry.
revo uninstaller can detect all these left over during uninstall & u can can delete it if wan to (highly recommended).

wit revo uninstaller, u dun need any registry cleaner. best of all, its freeware.

actually tweaking can be done by ur self without any s/w support.
tweaking s/w just mek it easier but IMO, i dun like a useless s/w in my pc dat does stuff dat i can do without its help.

just play around wit ur new OS, it'll b fun & definitely learn lot of stuff.
u can also google for "vista hack", "boost vista performance"....................things like dis.

From my experience using AVG, it failed to detect a number of viruses, especially those that spread as autoruns via thumb drives.

Now I use Avira Antivir Free. Try that.

I'd replace Adobe Reader with Foxit Reader. It's lightweight, and it has tabs! If I find myself in a situation where I have to use Adobe Reader, I'd install Adobe Reader 9 lite instead.
