Owh,it is because the acoustic guitar was initially put in nylon string already when i bought from my friend.I'm just considering whether i should change it to steel string or continue using the nylon string.

Your geetar will melt because the nylon string and the frets will react and form a caustic composition.

Your fingers will start bleeding from the composition too.
Your geetar neck might get warped because the nylon strings doesn't give enough of tension to counter the truss rod.

And the truss rod will spring out and stab you in the heart because you don't have the right string tension to counter it.

I think, i experimented it before.. i feel the sounds coming out from the nylons are very soft.... not warm and round like what is supposed to sound like.

So, no.... i mean, you can put nylon strings, but, the sound which comes out... eeww... get a nylon guitar instead.

NO you cant put nylon strings on a acoustic guitar without running into intonation problems etc.

acoustic guitars obviously have narrow necks, playing them might be harder since the strings will be closer together.
also the nut will have to be changed or slots widened to accomodate the thicker strings.
same goes for the bridge saddle.

icyfawkes,

Classical guitars are meant for nylon strings...

not the neck slim la.
the fretboard more narrow, typical acoustic guitar fretboard 42-43mm wide at the nut.
classical guitar fretboard is about 1cm wider, so 52mm.

Yeah, agree with u.The guitar has to be tuned everyday otherwise it'll sound out of tune and it is quite inconvenient to do so everyday.
