Anyone still playing this online? I just got my copy last week. Online is terrible, I only had one perfect and smooth match out of like over 10 matches. sad.gif

...=_=" (at paige), anyway, i'm still playing this...my connection to players are pretty decent...

my win rate is 81%...and i have like 1500 matches won (the remaining 19% are loss matches which is uncount)...around 300 matches i think lost...total 1.8k matches played

my team = ryu and karas

TvC FC (4426-3095-2473)

Ryu and Karas?? Wait, my first match was against these two. Don't tell me its you?? blink.gif That's the only match that I fought with little lag. And wow! your rating is so high, are you pro at these two chars?

BTW, I main Saki and Frank, but still not so good and I can pull off very simple combos, not sure how to Baroque and Aerial raid (Tagging out with partner to continue Air combo? Something like that??). I might be online tonight, so can I just add you right away or do we have to meet online? I'm not sure about Friend Code because this is my first time doing this. I use Wifi not a LAN adapter, is this the reason why my online play is so bad??

awww.. too bad then. So not online later tonight? Yeah, I use Classic Controller Pro version. Feels quite good and better than the wiimote. I bought the game and the controller from stevechan360 of Playzone in JB, He's a trustworthy seller and he post the items all the way to Selangor where I'm staying rclxms.gif

Thanks for the tip, will find out later. Err... anyone wanna play online with me then?

not necessary, heard many people said a classic controller or a gamecube controller is enough. quite comfortable. If you insist on a arcade stick, its fine too and it probably feels feels more arcadish I guess. icon_idea.gif

yeah the wiimote feel much easier to use, definitely agree with that. But the problem with it is that it just feels so "Limited".

I'm going online now, will post the code here:

2107 - 0772 - 0209

Anyone can add my FC here. Look forward to good games smile.gif

Lol, you're really good. Too fast and dangerous, no chance to counter back sad.gif I think my chars are no match for Ryu and Karas (especially him) Anyway nice game, finally can get a smooth match going. I guess I need to think about how to combo and defend properly tongue.gif

So you're that guy!? Cool!

Never knew that, always had problems with Karas even on single player on highest difficulty. As for Ryu yeah you comboed me non stop and I could not get out unless I megacrash, but that just wastes my super bars. Guess I should avoid being at the corner too. I better brush up on Frank than Saki.

QUOTE(LostWanderer @ Mar 18 2010, 12:49 AM)
well, i must say that either you're lucky or unlucky to be able to see the "maximum" damage i've been capable of dealing to other players out there

as for staying away from the corners...many players whom i've fought before are wary of this and would try not to stick to the corners too long as well...XD

for ryu, if i'm able to land a pretty "long" combo on the wall...you'll notice i'll tend to use a 3 level DHC...sometimes, the rate of me timing the 3rd level is a little off...so, the attack will miss the target...XD

as for karas, i'll try my best to land the wallbounce loop...and if my opponents know how to block those...i'm in pretty big trouble as karas is pretty useless when my opponents play a defensive game...lol (there's no "perfect" defense out there though)

also, i usually tend to approach my opponents with an aerial attack, i believe you noticed that too as well right?

well, if you visit gamefaqs, visit the TvC board there and you will notice me there too...=)

hope you had fun...wink.gif
*
Yeah I notice the wallbounces and aerial attacks and yes, I visit Gamefaqs for tips too nod.gif , but I still can hardly pull off a long string of combo with Frank at the corner. I think Karas is meant to play a mean pressure game like how you fight me yesterday tongue.gif I can't even lay a finger on you because you're too fast with those fast dash (Flash Steps? Watched Bleach too much and noticed those fast dash so similar tongue.gif ). Yeah, your Ryu kinda missed on the third hyper of the DHC sometimes but still most of the time you nailed it on me and the DMG is like, instant kill with about half life left tongue.gif As for aerial attack I think my chars don't really have good anti air moves, even Saki's grenade comes out too slow and poor recovery but at least she has that nice 45 Degrees lvl 1 Hyper icon_rolleyes.gif

err... tonight I might go online again but I need to train more first tongue.gif

Yeah, have you tried fighting an A.I. Saki during the last stage in Arcade Mode on highest difficulty setting? She is quite tough! No kidding. The A.I. seems to know when to throw grenades and nail you down with her cannon shots or lvl 1 hyper.

I might go online later tonight or maybe tomorrow because I'm watching Heavy Rain game Walkthrough on Youtube, feels like a movie and really interesting (Although I don't own a PS3 and the game period tongue.gif)

You know, I wasn't planning to use Doronjo, but I do play her once in a while and found her to be quite strange and funny with her unpredictable attacks, especially the one where the purple ape (Tonzan?) dropped the boulder from the sky out of nowhere and Boyacky's multiple punches and piglet bomb tongue.gif It's hilarious fighting you yesterday. I was trying to be defensive and tactical and never thought it will work out sometimes.

Maybe you're right about the hypers I used, I waste them too often on Megacrash, maybe I'm just being too cautious and afraid of getting heavily damaged by your long string of combos with Ryu and Karas (Now I fear this guy even more rclxub.gif ). And I tend to draw out Frank's Real Megabuster too often ( I was trying to get away from you as far away as possible and throw projectiles at you or jump into the air) but yeah, its probably too much waste and did little chipping damage.

Now I still need to train on Frank, I got to admit I did not fully utilize some of his moves too well, notice I kept going air trying to knee drop on you sometimes or just fall to the ground trying to nail with the baseball bat? Its really interesting. Liked the zombies and the carts, really helped but I think I focused too much on summoning a zombie right behind you when I fight your Karas, a really bad move on my part since Karas can get out of the corner real fast, but it might work on Ryu. I put him in the second slot because I think his camera flash assist is good, really annoys the opponent.

I notice that your Ryu rarely use anti air (Shoryuken is it?) me since my Frank jumped and dash in the air so often and I see you got many window opportunities to do it. Why don't you try doing that more often? That might put a lot of pressure on me.

So, how about my DHC? I kinda tricked you like twice with Doronjo's Big Ball Machine Drop Hyper and I nail you with Frank's Real Megabuster in two separate matches sweat.gif Never thought you will fall for it ( I didn't even thought this would work too blink.gif ) It seems that Doronjo's other lvl one hyper is not so effective against you, you seem to know it and not fall for it, that's good. (Though I remember you hit it and fall for it once only lol)

I gotta admit too that my play with Saki is not getting any better I guess. Maybe she's just hard to use against fast and pressure type chars. I kept on missing with the cannon and grenades and this time I tried to be more aggressive with more close ups, not a good idea I guess tongue.gif

Last of all, really great matches. I enjoyed it very much, thanks a lot! and.... I finally beaten you once! sweat.gif Never really expect that, you're still very tough to beat to notworthy.gif And I'll never forget one match where your Ryu's Shinku Hadoken and my Frank's Real Megabuster hyper beams collide right at the center, I was laughing like hell that time laugh.gif rclxm9.gif (Like Dragonballs tongue.gif)

yes, that boulder move is what "pro's" spam most often...and they have better accuracy...so...imagine how difficult it is to approach doronjo...XD, and you need to use her goons more often too

also, when you use the attack to pull your opponents to doronjo...you can put her into "sleep mode, a.k.a lying on the floor" and doronjo will juggle her opponents for a longer combo

i must admit that i seldom use anti air's...as usually i either jump up in the air to attack the opponents with the anti air kick, or i just try to evade the attack and get my on attack going on after evading that attack

however, if i see that those attempts are futile, i'll go with shoryuken sooner or later...lol (and i need to remember to use it as a defensive instead of an offensive move)

doronjo's level 1 is only usable when your opponents are getting up from the ground, being blasted high up the air/ wall bounced...as you need the boulder to fall down...the only time i got hit by that is that because i tried too hard to approach your hyper and tried to melee it instead of using the shin hadoken to break the hyper...it's so much easier...lol

as for frank's hyper...it's kinda predictable...but i tend to fall for it...lol, but the DHC with doronjo and frank is a good surprise

there are really good saki players out there...and to keep the pressure up, they use the energy ball to defend themselves and attack with whatever ammo they think is suitable...and as "useless" as the level 3 is, it's good to catch your opponents with it once in a while...especially those aggressive ones...lol

during the hadoken vs the megabuster, i thought that my hadoken will run out of juice first...luckily, i was wrong...it's a draw...haha

and as for my karas...i think i mentioned this before, but one of the good players in gamefaqs did told me that he had trouble dealing with my karas in particular...so, fear my karas...but not others...=p

p.s. karas is really useless when his main attacks are being blocked, and since i use the wiimote, i can be predictable at times

lets get a game going soon, what time you free? 10am?
*
Yeah yeah, I totally forgot about Doronjo being able to lie on the ground and use her goons to do the dirty job, but I think its a bit too dangerous to use it against you because your Ryu can just Shinku Hadoken and its over for me. So I try not to use it. But, since you claim that there are some use to it, I might put it to the test.

And, sorry man. Got stuff to do at home. I'm most at night, so I'm not sure if I can come or not in the morning or afternoon. You played against another player on Gamefaqs? Where does he live? wouldn't it lag very badly if he stays in USA or further away from Asia? Or is he an Asian player?

I have no chance to counter your Karas, its way too fast. You always end a combo with his lvl 3, its devastating and I can't even do a single thing. I don't know what can counter you, its too fast. Yeah today I played like ****, don't know why I kept on using mega crash, seems to be already automatic with my fingers, I can't do air combos properly, lagging a bit here and there. Feeling kinda frustrated. When I try to down block, you hit me by air, and when I block standing, you sweep my legs off real fast. Wtf?? And I could have sworn a zombie cart kinda hit you but it just went past through Karas. what????

I need a break, guess I'm not that good at this game after all haha...

Added on March 20, 2010, 11:05 pmAbout FAQ's, yes I do read them, but could not do it properly with the lag here and there, it kinda ruins the whole thing.

This weekend I might try playing this again, need to practice more with Frank and Saki/Doronjo. I originally planned to master two characters for now but I can't seem to make a choice between Doronjo or Saki. Guess I got to find out who suits with Frank better.
