Mmm..... not so sure, because my experience with PA is "terbalik",
JPN games are mostly cheaper. You go check Boom Blox, Smash and etc....
But recently, PA has been selling Wii games at a ridiculous price.
No good no good.

i want to invest an arcade stick and need recommendation. the original Tatsunoko vs. Capcom arcade stick is killing me. Do any one have alternative recommendation?

maybe the stick and used back dated and future games.

Try looking somemore at Play Asia. there is another stick made for the Wii, and not the Tatsunoko stick. I think that is abit cheaper.

Hi all, new here, my first post.

Got Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and I have to say it really lives up to all the hype. The game is simply awesome. However, that being said, I think to truly enjoy it, it has to be played with fighting sticks, or at least a joypad. On the Wiimote and nunchuck, controls are simplified, taking a bit of the fun out of things.

I bought two Cube Joybox Pro adapters (PS2 to GC) from Play-Asia, and used them to plug my Hori Tekken 5 stick, and Hori Real Arcade Pro stick into the Wii Gamecube ports. Both perform flawlessly, and I get to play TvC the way its supposed to (in my opinion). I think the cube joybox adapter would be the best option as they only cost about RM28 each, enabling you to use any of your PS2 controllers or fighting sticks, which I think most people should have, saving money in the process.

p/s: I only tried the adapters with my fighting sticks, haven't tried on PS2 joypads so can't confirm how those perform.

A bit expensive, about RM255 at current exchange rates on Play Asia. Not sure about imports, haven't found copies anywhere, though I'm sure they could order a copy for you if you ask.

Yup got the game, and yup Easy Operation made me pening also. I prefer the arcade layout, A-Weak, B-Medium, C-Strong and P-Assist.

Playing using fighting sticks which I think is the nicest way to appreciate this game. Not sure about Classic Controller, cos I only have Wiimotes. How are you finding it now after a few days of practice?

Yup Easy Operation takes a bit of fun out I think.

Seriously this game is so awesome! I feel that if they brought the arcade cabinets in, this game might prove more popular than Tekken 6 or Street Fighter 4, cos of it's accessibility to beginners.

Yup that's true, I feel that way too. Wish there was at least 10 more characters lol. Apparently Capcom considered a lot of characters, but for some reason, a lot of them didn't make the list:

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2008/12/2...om-producer.htm

Still there's apparently talk of a sequel if this game does well. Really hope that this will happen. I'm sure the sequel will include all the original characters plus more new ones.

Also just read online that Singapore has the arcade version in some of their arcades. I was in Singapore last month and even got to play Street Fighter 4 and Tekken 6! Makes me a bit sad when I think about our arcades.

Apparently some people with non-Jap Wii are able to play TvC using Freeloader, but I think only up to firmware version 3.2 or something like that.

The guy on this vid says its possible:

Yup same here if I had to use the Wiimote, I prefer to use it without the nunchuck. Seems more natural. But I seriously do recommend using either a Classic controller or fight stick, cos you get more out of the game, combos and all.

humm, a simple button klik to perform combo

for ex : ryu

*wii mote + nunchuck*

press B = hadouken
press down + B = shoryuuken
press front + B = super kick laugh.gif
press back + B = apatsu kick

as for A, it is normal punch/kick button.

for combo (assuming u got enough gauge bar)

press A+B = super hadouken
press back + A + B = super apatsu kick
press down + A + B = super shoryuuken

Ooj, selling at Rm95. I'm not sure how much i can sell to u. Or look for a Hori stick for the wii (Trust me, that stick would mostly be scarce). But classic controller I'll let u noe later when I can.

yeap due to the button operation has been simplified ~ to make it easier to play on the Wii mote.

i try with gamcube controller but its so difficult & confusing.
for moves consistency, definately a need for a Wii Stick.

but so far it has been very entertaining using the Wii mote alone, no need to remember so many moves list.

If you already have a fight stick for your PS2, you can get this PS2 to Gamecube converter and use it on your Wii. Only about RM28 but very worth it. I got it here:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g4-49-...joy-70-14p.html

So far I have had no problems at all. My sticks work great on the Wii using the converters.

If not, then I agree, should get a Wii stick, I think its about 190 online, but not sure about shipping. Found it in Midvalley and Bangsar, but I think they were charging around 300, a bit too mahal for me. Anyone found a good price for the Hori Wii Stick?

regarding the arcade stick, i am still survey for one.
thanks for yr recommendation for the ps2 arcade stick compatibility.

currently, i am surveying for a an arcade stick which is compatible with PS3 & Wii. once Street Fighter IV has released, i can avoid buying another.

any idea if there is an adaptor as you describe which cater for PS3 & Wii?

I'm lucky, cos I managed to get 2 Hori Real Arcade Pros while I was in Korea, for a good price. I also bought one Tekken 5 Hori Stick here in sg Wang, but dont remember the price, but it wasn't that expensive.

Actually, at the moment I'm also looking for a PS2 to PS3 converter for my sticks to play on PS3, that way I only need one set of joysticks for all my consoles. I found one in Sunway Pyramid at the video game shop in the asian youth area, but not sure of the quality, as I heard that some of these converters have lag issues. I found a good resource on PS2 to PS3 adapters here:

http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/converters/

Only problem is I don't know where to get any of these. The only one that seems plausible at the moment is the TAC Universal PS2 to PS3 Converter:

http://store.theantcommandos.com/Universal...tr-ps3-adpt.htm

If anyone has more info I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sure the others in this discussion would too.

Hehehe in the beginning pening a bit doing the button config, but that's only due to me not able to read Japanese. Its quite simple actually, but takes a bit of fiddling about.

My PS2 stick is Hori Real Arcade Pro, bought in Korea for quite a bargain, don't think they make it anymore. I've seen some Hori Fight sticks here in Sg Wang and Low Yat, but the smaller kind, which are just as nice in my opinion, just not as heavy.

Finally,I got this game from play-asia becasuse the price is cheapest which is $67.90(after using the $5 off coupon).
I like this game so much so I decided to share some info on the game:

1)There is a note which state that if the wii can not read the disc, you must clean the wii lens.Anyone who have problem with Super Smash Bro. Brawl better avoid buying this game as well unless you have the lens cleaner disc.

2)The instuction manual is fully colour and have the list of special move and combo for all 18 characters. As for the hidden character move,I guess you need to try to figure yourself.

3)Although it is a Japanese game but there are english menu. When select the option menu, it is english where you can set the sound, display, difficulty and save. The training mode is also in english where you can set the cpu health, power and damage.

will add few more details later.

Nintendo Power: Tatsunoko vs Capcom Coming To US [Rumor]

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Much requested crossover fighter Tatsunoko vs Capcom is coming to the U.S., according to a NeoGaf poster and magazine scan sent to Kotaku.

A scan from reader Andrew shows what is supposed to be an image from inside Nintendo Power magazine for an article entitled When Heroes Collide. A paragraph in the top right corner of the article reads:

They said it couldn't happen, but it is! Fighting extravaganza Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a fighting title already released in Japan that features a collection of characters from Capcom games and another group from Japanese animation studio Tatsunoku Production.

Tatsunoko may best be know, by me, for their work on G-Force. (I used to watch it as a kid in Thailand.)

Could this be one of Capcom's two secret games for E3? We've reached out to the company for comment and will update if they respond.

CAPCOM's Official E309 Line-Up: A Storm Is Coming!!! [Thanks Andrew and everyone else]

Tatsunoko VS Capcom Confirmed, Playable At E3 [Capcom]
by Mike Fahey

Capcom has confirmed that a North American version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the Nintendo Wii is indeed one of their two secret games for E3 2009, debuting in playable form at the Capcom booth.

The magazine scan we posted Saturday is from the new issue of Nintendo Power, which features the exclusive reveal of the 2D fighter that we were relatively sure would never make it out of Japan. North American players will be able to pit Capcom characters like Ryu and Roll against Tatsunoko animation studio icons such as Tekkaman and Ken the Eagle, some sooner than others.

The game that many thought would never make it to North America is actually in the works and will be at E3 for all of you lucky Unity members to get your hands on.

Yes, it'll be there, and it'll be playable. Look for more details out of Capcom within the next two weeks leading up to the big show.

still, i'm really looking forward to zero here though...wonder how awesome would he be here...XD

Jpn version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars probably "cheaper" bcos it is an enhanced version of the earlier game already released as Cross Generation Heroes almost 2yrs ago.

QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ Jan 24 2010, 06:50 AM)
i wonder too coz playasia quote the price at 15+ smile.gif (but that is for NTSC-J)
*

Added on January 24, 2010, 11:23 ami have played using Wiimote only and fighting stick on the original JP version (Cross Generation Heroes).

i believe classic controller (normal or Pro), wiimote+nunchuk and GC controller also supported.

it's is less "technical" if u r using only Wiimote which is wat makes it "pick up and play friendly" from developers point of view. some may call that "button mashing friendly" although like other fighting games eg. Street Fighter or Marvel vs Capcom ... u can be technical as well.

it's pretty fun even if u are not very good usually at pulling off moves in fighting games !

QUOTE(viledante @ Jan 24 2010, 10:25 AM)
laugh.gif btw, i wonder how the control? anyone played the japs version before? need classic controller?

as far as i can remember ... no motion controls.

the default wiimote-only config maps certain special skill/combos/moves to a certain button.

it has been a long time since i last played so memory of it a little vague ...

yes, Wiimote-only setup can feel a little constrained and certain moves like tag partner (back + hold B) feels a little unnatural to execute.

it's sort of like Smash Bros e.g. u press down + attack, up + attack, diagonal down->up+attack, attack button in sequence to combo, etc.

for a completely "old school" fighting experience i think Classic Controller or Fightstick is the recommended option smile.gif

for the TvC or FTG game.
i prefer using pad than wiimote.

since i dun have any GC controller.
so, i just use my PS2 controller for tis game.

i got a PS2 to Wii/GC cable.
so, for Jap ver of TvC, i also use PS2 controller.
n is feel good than using wiimote.
hehehe

if you can wait the release of Monster Hunter 3 US ... it has been reported that it will come with a Classic Controller Pro bundle.

it can still be fun playing with Wiimote only but probably not for marathon sessions !

can wii detect usb joystick??
i think cannot.
bcoz until now, nobody can do tat.
but u can use a PS2 to GC/Wii converter.
i using PS2 joystick + a converter.
just plug it to the GC port.

n the game will detect it as a GC controller.

sry, is work.
as long as you got a GC converter.
there is 2 type of it.
one is go through wiimote's wireless.
another one is go through GC port.

the one for me, is for GC port.
i bought it online back when the old TvC release.

my PS2 hori stick, work very good for TvC.
n also, i can use the PS2 joypad for Wii also.

the button layout is like tis
triagle = Y
circle = X
square = B
X = A
L1 & R1 = Z (z button)
L2 & R2 = L & R

Added on January 28, 2010, 2:13 pmjust finish unlock Frank & Zero.

terry,

yea, wired to GC port can work bcos the game supports GC controller.

vile was asking about USB wired connection ... so i was only referring to direct fightstick to usb connector at the back of Wii scenario.

Ya, i know.

but like i say cannot.
if can, ppl already use those new HORI joystick of 360/PS3.
but the truth is.....cannot doh.gif doh.gif

i also want that to happen.
then ppl no need buy other joypad/stick, just plug usb port.
but.... too bad tis wont happen cry.gif cry.gif

there is one TvC stick from Madcatz,
so pretty also. (connect through wiimote)
i also want that, but the price.....
i rather stick back to my old PS2 stick + converter.

As ive tried 2 times playing online in Free Battle ( no ranking )
It is smooth fast connection But 1st player i was connected to was quite laggy
While 2nd player i was connected to was smooth.
So i guess it depends where im connected with ( aka ping )

yeah >_<, just bought this game liao, and already played non-stop to unlock all the characters. Overall it's awesome as compared to its Japanese version, but there is just one slight 'not-cool'. If play the Japanese version, the song will play in accordance to the correspondance to the characters, like if play as Roll, the song will change to Roll's Theme, etc. The music settings in the US version is a bit weird, i like the musics in the Jap version better tongue.gif. Too bad cant change the music stuffs tongue.gif

wat i know is, the JAP version of TvC: UAS also the same.
no more tatsunoku n capcom character theme music.

due to the license problem. capcom cannot put Tatsunoku music.

but wat i know is,
in Jap version,
Zero got it own theme n also in the training mode got a special theme.
other the same.

cause i think its a little hard to connect although the game tells you that there are firends/rival online

hard to connect = if two people don't press on each others name = game won't start?

not press together, but i think the system works like this

if there is 3 person: A, B and C in the friends roster (you are A), that is online

A wanna play with B
but B wanna play with C
while C is afk

so A presses B's name
while B presses C's name

so, A won't be able to connect to B while B can't connect to C

however, if A presses B's name (and it's searching for the connection)
and B presses A's name and do establish the above connection
then you can get the match going, if i'm not wrong...

you get what i mean, right?

sodesu ne ?

I have no fc to add for this game at the moment
Maybe i should try out

But is pressing the name not as in sending and invitation to the name ?

Cos usually mostly the wii online games are sending invitation.
Meaning i invite B cos i see him online in my friend roaster in the game
And wait for him to accept the battle ?

paige, i don't really get what you mean...but

for fighting games, i think it works like this:

if your friends are online, but didn't access the friend matches...you will not be able to meet your "friend"

however, if they are inside the friend matches, their name will show up, for instance, "Jack"

if Jack didn't know you pressed his name for a match, Jack and you will not be in a battle, and vice versa...you get what i mean, right?

Ryu and Karas?? Wait, my first match was against these two. Don't tell me its you?? blink.gif That's the only match that I fought with little lag. And wow! your rating is so high, are you pro at these two chars?

BTW, I main Saki and Frank, but still not so good and I can pull off very simple combos, not sure how to Baroque and Aerial raid (Tagging out with partner to continue Air combo? Something like that??). I might be online tonight, so can I just add you right away or do we have to meet online? I'm not sure about Friend Code because this is my first time doing this. I use Wifi not a LAN adapter, is this the reason why my online play is so bad??

i am not sure, as i'm not the only ryu karas player out there...but if you are able to match my win rate + win count...then it should be me

oh, and my nick for the game is UnkwnWdr (all caps)

as for "pros"...i can't say much...but i handle them with the wiimote...cause i don't like to use CC with karas...XD

i don't baroque much...and if i do, usually it's done by accident. as for Aerial Raids...i think it's jump atttack + forward + partner...but i don't do it much either

however, i do a lot of DHC's either to save my character from a mistake...or as a mean of attack...depends...XD

i use a wifi router too...from streamyx...riger...but my wifi is pretty close to my wii, so, i'm not sure whether do i have a "good" connection or not

feel free to add my FC and please provide me yours here...=)

as for FC's...check the few previous post and learn about rivals system...it's similar, but a rival you fight them + end match + register...FC = both need to add codes

awww.. too bad then. So not online later tonight? Yeah, I use Classic Controller Pro version. Feels quite good and better than the wiimote. I bought the game and the controller from stevechan360 of Playzone in JB, He's a trustworthy seller and he post the items all the way to Selangor where I'm staying rclxms.gif

Thanks for the tip, will find out later. Err... anyone wanna play online with me then?

not necessary, heard many people said a classic controller or a gamecube controller is enough. quite comfortable. If you insist on a arcade stick, its fine too and it probably feels feels more arcadish I guess. icon_idea.gif

yeah the wiimote feel much easier to use, definitely agree with that. But the problem with it is that it just feels so "Limited".

I'm going online now, will post the code here:

2107 - 0772 - 0209

Anyone can add my FC here. Look forward to good games smile.gif

your char's are okay actually...just need to learn how to def and attack at the correct time...=)

i'll tip you a little...stand blocking karas is "usually" more effective against karas in comparison to crouch blocking

and sometimes, be a little less aggressive may win you the match...haha

Never knew that, always had problems with Karas even on single player on highest difficulty. As for Ryu yeah you comboed me non stop and I could not get out unless I megacrash, but that just wastes my super bars. Guess I should avoid being at the corner too. I better brush up on Frank than Saki.

well, i must say that either you're lucky or unlucky to be able to see the "maximum" damage i've been capable of dealing to other players out there

as for staying away from the corners...many players whom i've fought before are wary of this and would try not to stick to the corners too long as well...XD

for ryu, if i'm able to land a pretty "long" combo on the wall...you'll notice i'll tend to use a 3 level DHC...sometimes, the rate of me timing the 3rd level is a little off...so, the attack will miss the target...XD

as for karas, i'll try my best to land the wallbounce loop...and if my opponents know how to block those...i'm in pretty big trouble as karas is pretty useless when my opponents play a defensive game...lol (there's no "perfect" defense out there though)

also, i usually tend to approach my opponents with an aerial attack, i believe you noticed that too as well right?

well, if you visit gamefaqs, visit the TvC board there and you will notice me there too...=)

hope you had fun...wink.gif

Yeah I notice the wallbounces and aerial attacks and yes, I visit Gamefaqs for tips too nod.gif , but I still can hardly pull off a long string of combo with Frank at the corner. I think Karas is meant to play a mean pressure game like how you fight me yesterday tongue.gif I can't even lay a finger on you because you're too fast with those fast dash (Flash Steps? Watched Bleach too much and noticed those fast dash so similar tongue.gif ). Yeah, your Ryu kinda missed on the third hyper of the DHC sometimes but still most of the time you nailed it on me and the DMG is like, instant kill with about half life left tongue.gif As for aerial attack I think my chars don't really have good anti air moves, even Saki's grenade comes out too slow and poor recovery but at least she has that nice 45 Degrees lvl 1 Hyper icon_rolleyes.gif

err... tonight I might go online again but I need to train more first tongue.gif

the "flash steps" you mentioned are only available via wiimote...as if you used a CC...you will need to charge it with holding back (walking backwards)...and use a forward motion after like around 2 secs...and later it's up to you to decide which combo you would like to execute...

i have trouble executing the exact combo i want with a CC...so, i just used a wiimote...LOL

yea, a 2 level DHC takes about 23k life, and the 3rd level takes around 28klife on max (usually i hit 27k++ only though)...the 3rd level is usually only used when the opponent's life is left until like almost dead...otherwise, it's kinda a waste of 1 level of HC

i've fought players who like to stick on the upper wall lobbing grenades downwards just to try and kill you with those bloody ammo...=_=", it's actually a pain to fight those...=X

Added on March 18, 2010, 7:55 pmoh, and i'm on from now (8pm till 9.30pm)...anyone wanna play around this time...feel free to notify me...=)

Yeah, have you tried fighting an A.I. Saki during the last stage in Arcade Mode on highest difficulty setting? She is quite tough! No kidding. The A.I. seems to know when to throw grenades and nail you down with her cannon shots or lvl 1 hyper.

I might go online later tonight or maybe tomorrow because I'm watching Heavy Rain game Walkthrough on Youtube, feels like a movie and really interesting (Although I don't own a PS3 and the game period tongue.gif)

may be a little late today as i'm going out for dinner...hopefully can be back by latest 8pm...XD

Added on March 19, 2010, 8:53 pmhmm, no one's on now (8.53pm)?

waited till 9.20pm...you guys aren't on...=(, looks like we'll try and meet up at 10.30pm then?=)

hmm...u guys didn't turn up even at around 11pm...=(...XD

hey jon, after those many matches...i think these are my comments

1) your saki needs to focus more on distance battles...and learn how to protect herself from harm more, use grenades, charge her weapon more, use those bullets more effectively...fire downwards diagonally helps a lot too

2) your frank west needs to be less predictable...well...most of the times, he went up on air...he'll come crashing down on me...and whenever you are at a distance...you'll most likely fire the megabuster at me...well...this is more probably because you've become adapted to my playstyle and are trying to counter it...lol, but i'm also reading you as you progress...XD

3) your doronjo could be more dangerous...but i think you did manage to play her correctly in a few of those matches...try to stay out from battle and let her goons do the damage...be on the air throwing boulders down is what "most good" players do...but, it's actually very annoying to fight them...lol...and she have some really good long combos too

4) your most major mistakes are that you kinda waste too much of your HC...and whenever you have 1 level, you tend to use them right away most of the time...and also, whenever you have 2 HC...you tend to megacrash at my end of my shoryuken attack...it's really a waste of HC and i really don't recommend you to do so unless your hp is really out and you need to save your character

5) you've certainly improved or probably got better at adapting to my playstyle...but yea, i think you are getting better at the game overall

one round you nearly won me...and another round you finally managed to win me...haha...cool...^^b

You know, I wasn't planning to use Doronjo, but I do play her once in a while and found her to be quite strange and funny with her unpredictable attacks, especially the one where the purple ape (Tonzan?) dropped the boulder from the sky out of nowhere and Boyacky's multiple punches and piglet bomb tongue.gif It's hilarious fighting you yesterday. I was trying to be defensive and tactical and never thought it will work out sometimes.

Maybe you're right about the hypers I used, I waste them too often on Megacrash, maybe I'm just being too cautious and afraid of getting heavily damaged by your long string of combos with Ryu and Karas (Now I fear this guy even more rclxub.gif ). And I tend to draw out Frank's Real Megabuster too often ( I was trying to get away from you as far away as possible and throw projectiles at you or jump into the air) but yeah, its probably too much waste and did little chipping damage.

Now I still need to train on Frank, I got to admit I did not fully utilize some of his moves too well, notice I kept going air trying to knee drop on you sometimes or just fall to the ground trying to nail with the baseball bat? Its really interesting. Liked the zombies and the carts, really helped but I think I focused too much on summoning a zombie right behind you when I fight your Karas, a really bad move on my part since Karas can get out of the corner real fast, but it might work on Ryu. I put him in the second slot because I think his camera flash assist is good, really annoys the opponent.

I notice that your Ryu rarely use anti air (Shoryuken is it?) me since my Frank jumped and dash in the air so often and I see you got many window opportunities to do it. Why don't you try doing that more often? That might put a lot of pressure on me.

So, how about my DHC? I kinda tricked you like twice with Doronjo's Big Ball Machine Drop Hyper and I nail you with Frank's Real Megabuster in two separate matches sweat.gif Never thought you will fall for it ( I didn't even thought this would work too blink.gif ) It seems that Doronjo's other lvl one hyper is not so effective against you, you seem to know it and not fall for it, that's good. (Though I remember you hit it and fall for it once only lol)

I gotta admit too that my play with Saki is not getting any better I guess. Maybe she's just hard to use against fast and pressure type chars. I kept on missing with the cannon and grenades and this time I tried to be more aggressive with more close ups, not a good idea I guess tongue.gif

Last of all, really great matches. I enjoyed it very much, thanks a lot! and.... I finally beaten you once! sweat.gif Never really expect that, you're still very tough to beat to notworthy.gif And I'll never forget one match where your Ryu's Shinku Hadoken and my Frank's Real Megabuster hyper beams collide right at the center, I was laughing like hell that time laugh.gif rclxm9.gif (Like Dragonballs tongue.gif)

yes, that boulder move is what "pro's" spam most often...and they have better accuracy...so...imagine how difficult it is to approach doronjo...XD, and you need to use her goons more often too

also, when you use the attack to pull your opponents to doronjo...you can put her into "sleep mode, a.k.a lying on the floor" and doronjo will juggle her opponents for a longer combo

i must admit that i seldom use anti air's...as usually i either jump up in the air to attack the opponents with the anti air kick, or i just try to evade the attack and get my on attack going on after evading that attack

however, if i see that those attempts are futile, i'll go with shoryuken sooner or later...lol (and i need to remember to use it as a defensive instead of an offensive move)

doronjo's level 1 is only usable when your opponents are getting up from the ground, being blasted high up the air/ wall bounced...as you need the boulder to fall down...the only time i got hit by that is that because i tried too hard to approach your hyper and tried to melee it instead of using the shin hadoken to break the hyper...it's so much easier...lol

as for frank's hyper...it's kinda predictable...but i tend to fall for it...lol, but the DHC with doronjo and frank is a good surprise

there are really good saki players out there...and to keep the pressure up, they use the energy ball to defend themselves and attack with whatever ammo they think is suitable...and as "useless" as the level 3 is, it's good to catch your opponents with it once in a while...especially those aggressive ones...lol

during the hadoken vs the megabuster, i thought that my hadoken will run out of juice first...luckily, i was wrong...it's a draw...haha

and as for my karas...i think i mentioned this before, but one of the good players in gamefaqs did told me that he had trouble dealing with my karas in particular...so, fear my karas...but not others...=p

p.s. karas is really useless when his main attacks are being blocked, and since i use the wiimote, i can be predictable at times

lets get a game going soon, what time you free? 10am?

Yeah yeah, I totally forgot about Doronjo being able to lie on the ground and use her goons to do the dirty job, but I think its a bit too dangerous to use it against you because your Ryu can just Shinku Hadoken and its over for me. So I try not to use it. But, since you claim that there are some use to it, I might put it to the test.

And, sorry man. Got stuff to do at home. I'm most at night, so I'm not sure if I can come or not in the morning or afternoon. You played against another player on Gamefaqs? Where does he live? wouldn't it lag very badly if he stays in USA or further away from Asia? Or is he an Asian player?

there's the move where you pull your opponents closer towards doronjo, and the time to set up the lying on the floor move is sufficient...try it...=)

Added on March 20, 2010, 9:52 ami think it's "minor" but adaptable lag...at least both of us adapted to the lag i think...lol

oh, and ok, i'll catch ya at night then if possible...=)

kk, be there soon (i'll set up)

Added on March 20, 2010, 9:07 pmwaiting now

Added on March 20, 2010, 10:40 pmhey jon,

good effort today, however...i think you really need to beef up your frank/doronjo/ saki a little bit more

try to combo more in training mode...set the dummy to auto guard and you can practice to chain combos better there

also, try not to waste HC bars like i said earlier...you were mega crashing a lot today...>.<"

maybe you'll need to look up gfaqs to learn up some cool combo chains there too?

cool practice matches...=)

oh, and some other things to take note of:

1)
A DHC from doronjo into frank's beam is a lot better in comparison to the other way around as frank can store time for doronjo with his beam but doronjo actually free's your opponents from the beam

2)
Frank's hyper is punishable...i've been trying to tell you that by using ryu's hadoken and karas' "flash step" whenever you miss the attack...

Try too use hypers when you know that you will nail it...and if you whiff it...it's mostly due to lag

By nailing a hyper it's usually when you wallbounce an opponent, or they fall onto the ground

3) The match where you used doronjo's counter attack, i switched to a shinku and you used frank's megabuster and i switch to karas spinning blade special was memorable...haha

4) Karas spinning blade is punishable too when it misses the opponent...during the last "slash" animation...dash towards me to start your combo or use a range special if you worry that your timing may be off

I have no chance to counter your Karas, its way too fast. You always end a combo with his lvl 3, its devastating and I can't even do a single thing. I don't know what can counter you, its too fast. Yeah today I played like ****, don't know why I kept on using mega crash, seems to be already automatic with my fingers, I can't do air combos properly, lagging a bit here and there. Feeling kinda frustrated. When I try to down block, you hit me by air, and when I block standing, you sweep my legs off real fast. Wtf?? And I could have sworn a zombie cart kinda hit you but it just went past through Karas. what????

I need a break, guess I'm not that good at this game after all haha...

Added on March 20, 2010, 11:05 pmAbout FAQ's, yes I do read them, but could not do it properly with the lag here and there, it kinda ruins the whole thing.

well, i have 2 major ways to use karas lvl 3, but there's actually 4 ways...the other 2 is a little new to me and risky to use

the 2 ways that i usually use are:
1) wallbounce
2) chain grab

the other 2 ways are:
1) slide attack
2) on the first "flash step" motion where you are able to knock your opponents off balance during then

i tend to either use the wrong inputs for the above, or miss my timing, or proceed with my usual playstyle ignoring the fact that i need a level 3 out...kinda on auto pilot...XD

to counter my karas, you will need a pretty good understanding of how i use it, and be a little bit more on the defensive side...if you wanna go on the offensive, come in from the air a little bit more often...but don't start your journey from afar, you will most likely get wallbounced by that

i find the 3 most difficult characters to win against are:
zero
kaijin no soki
alex

i know that you like to use frank in this game...so, practice how to chain his combo more and you may want to try his infinite combo which can be found in the gfaqs boards...try not to whiff so much of his attacks too

your air combos with doronjo is pretty good i must say...but you need to keep the consistency up

so...you felt lag in our matches is it?...i think it must be sometimes a lag spike sometimes during our game

yea, i was kinda surprised by the cart moving through me too, i don't know how it happened, but the game must have recognized it as "passable" during that time...for what reason, i'm not sure...but i don't think that's due to lag...could be either a programming issue or a "priority/ invulnerability" issue

This weekend I might try playing this again, need to practice more with Frank and Saki/Doronjo. I originally planned to master two characters for now but I can't seem to make a choice between Doronjo or Saki. Guess I got to find out who suits with Frank better.

haha, you really like frank, don't cha?

anyway, i kinda found another way to use karas lvl 3...but i'm still not that used to that yet...however, if i get used to it, i'll be able to surprise my opponents with another lvl 3 attack.../gg

i took a break too from this game...may be slightly rustier than usual...XD

hope to catch ya up someday...=)

oh, you are lagging is it? for me here seems quite ok

maybe because you are using CC...so the moves are a little off timing and is harder for you to execute?

one of the match you nearly won though, good job...

the other round where we just ended...i kinda predicted that you will use the counter move...and you did...XD

kk, i'll be there...=)

Today's lag is so ridiculous, sometimes good, sometimes bad its so unpredictable. Sighs, i actually did better with Yatterman-1 than Frank, how sad I can do well with him. Now I know your Karas is too fast with melee pokes, almost very hard to nail you back in sad.gif

What happened at the last match?? Did I lag so bad until its over? It was intense fighting you with Yatterman-1, I guess I should keep surprising you with different chars tongue.gif

to be honest, i find that yatter 1 is more difficult to win in comparison to frank

there were some close rounds...a little more you would have won...haha

anyway, your mega crashes still needs to be timed correctly...XD

yea, you need something to hit me from a distance and close in soon...even something as short as zero's sword does wonders...but alex is a beast with his bare hands...>.<"

i think the game dced suddenly...but we both were still connected to the WFC...i saw you whiffing a lot of your air combos though at the end...so, it's a sign of pretty bad lag i guess?

Two rounds and I almost beat you, I can't believe I lost touch and get beaten at the last minute. I really got to start restraining myself from mega crashing, but the temptation to do it when I'm in a big trouble is just too high. Maybe I should just let it go and come hitting back at you fiercely with my other char. And, I'm surprised today I did better with Saki than Doronjo and Frank put together. I guess I can play unpredictable games but that's not my plan, I was actually trying to main 2 chars only! blink.gif whistling.gif

Maybe I should consider finding other chars, can't stick with these four only. Yatterman-1 is really damn fast and that's why I thought "Hey, maybe I can match up your Karas and Ryu with him." and somehow it turned out quite good blink.gif lol, now I have no real 2 main chars.

red steel 2, it's quite fun...but the downside is still the swordplay i guess...

i hate tilting the sword horizontally...it's really hard to do so even with the wm+, but otherwise, nice graphics, lots of colors...and i think the story and the gameplay mechanics are pretty cool too...=)

If you're on, reply here. Look forward to other matches!

Oh yeah, I forgot to reply something. Yeah I use Classic Controller and that's why its hard for me to pull off a good long string of combos with any chars. You're using just Wiimote or the Wiimote + Nunchuk combination? Then its too easy to play online, even at Gamefaqs some people don't like to fight against such players, but I'm ok with it. You certaintly got the upperhand against me tongue.gif

Tonight I might make it because I'm now waiting if anyone wants to play left 4 dead 2 with me online. If no one is on, I'll play this, if not I'll play left 4 dead 2. Hey, Do you play left 4 dead 2? Would be damn cool rclxms.gif

haha, i wasn't on earlier...and i don't plan to play this game atm...(i got the bloody wm+ attached to my wiimote, which makes me feel lazy to turn on my wii atm)...lol, and i don't wanna get disappointed to turn my game on and see you not around in wifi...=(

anyway, yes, i use the wiimote only...and man, those players were complaining of button lag there and told me that i was lagging horribly against them as well...but the way they play i found that it was pretty "natural" to me...i mean...if there really is better connection out there, i have not experience it either fortunately or unfortunately...lol (that is why i say that i have really adapted to the button lag out there unless if it is really terrible)

they don't like to fight such players is probably because of lag switchers and ragequitters...or they just spam projectiles with the wiimote, hence they dislike fighting them

people who had actually fought me were commenting that they really do think that i'm probably one of the better, stronger wiimote user out there and commenting that i really have a troublesome karas out there too...lol, but otherwise, the others were commenting about the horrible button lag they were experiencing while they were having a match with me...oh well

as for L4D2, i don't really play PC games much lately...and i must say that i have a crappy PC at the moment...however, i plan to change my PC in the next 2 months time to await for Star Craft 2 and plan to buy the ori version and play with an above average tier PC...and hopefully the online play doesn't lag...lol, you plan to play this in the future? if you do, i'll look forward to play this with you too...i love Strategy games (too bad supreme com 2 and CnC4 is terrible, from the news i heard)

till next time...=)

I may have the time jon, but if i'm not around by 9.40pm, most likely i ain't playing the wii...XD

hope to see you though...=)

p.s. if i'm not around / not there when you are playing, feel free to play others too

(newly added Friday, Apr 2nd...8.40pm)
there's a system bug which will wipe out your records (free, ranked, etc) if you play ranked/ free battles...i dunno how high is the probability you guys will encounter this bug, but it exists...and i don't really know whether had it infest the friendly/ rival battles too...so just be cautious if you have like above 5kbp, and played like over 1k matches in free battles (with a quite impressive win% record)...don't be surprised if you lose it after 1 match...XD

well, personally, i don't care much...but i do have like around 2k battles played at free battles...with an 80% win rate from that total...just gonna be a little heartbroken if that gets wiped...but it won't really have a significant effect on me though...haha (not to mention around 3k BP too i guess)

ah, so i was wondering where were you at 9.40pm...XD

anyway, it's not like the matches i've played are not laggy, it may be laggy...as probably the wiimote absorbed the input mismatch into combos...and i may have been adapting to these inputs...hence, it may just be me...XD

k, catch ya later...i wonder how bad were the input lags for you between the matches that we had

Err... just one thing. It kinda lagged alot when we first started playing and luckily it got better later on, so any button I pressed just won't register.

I can't believe I won twice against you. It was already hard as it is to fight your Karas. Good thing my play with Saki improved a lot and made a nice combo with two hypers, although its kinda hard to set it up against you. And Lol, I thought your Karas's hyper is going to hit my Doronjo when I used her lvl3 hyper but I remembered she is invincible at the beginning, its so satisfying tongue.gif

I enjoyed today's play with you. I'll brush up more on the other chars.

lol, yea, it was probably a little bit laggy at the beginning because i was on my way near my final minutes to complete my buffing of naruto anime...so, it may have affected the online at that moment

anyway, yea, the 2 times you won was basically:

1) i was being rash with my air dash and got caught with the anti air special from saki

2) that level 3 hyper from doronjo which took 34k hp from my karas...that was...really bad...

anyway, i think you still got the habit of mega crashing out of nothing...so...it's better if you only use it if you know a really long combo is coming

otherwise, i must say that you had became better at using saki (at least now you are comboing that two hypers)...not that you are the first to do so...=p, it's 20k ++ dmg when i get hit by that unblockable bullet

also, i must admit that i was kinda testing a new way to use the level 3 from karas...in training, it really can hit when i was using the slash combo...but when i was up against you, the timing went really off...so, i doubt that is a good move to use the attack (but oh well, maybe because i was a little slow (doubting) to know whether the hit registers or not...so, the level 3 missed the target...XD

in addition to that, if you noticed, i didn't use the wallbounce move as often too...i was usually slashing instead of using the wallbounce...but there were times that if the wallbounce was the move that came up, it would have been a hit instead of a block...XD

there are a lot more styles you can experiment with, such as a double hyper combo with saki (uses 3 bars)...with a beam special (ryu/frank)...and a reload from saki, although the beam may be blocked...firing the bullet will nab you a victory too...so, you'll need 4 bars in total to set this up...and probably a fifth bar will be used if you wanna shoot the character in the air with the anti air move after the bullet

you've became better with saki's specials i must say...especially when you reload the bullet right before the character lands which kinda makes the attack unblockable (i dunno, but i can't seem to block it)

ggs...=)

anyway, the connection now is pretty good i must say, the moments that it was kinda laggy was my sis is using the internet at that time

anyway, i can see that you've really improved on your game as well (you played sometime before this?XD)

at least now you don't simply megacrash and kinda forced me to reduce my Instant Air Dash (IAD) a whole lot of time with your saki and frank aiming their lvl 1 special at me whenever i do so...lol

gg's...=)

I think I need to somehow setup my modem closer to the Wii, tonights matches are rather not smooth and its lagging here and there, which bothers my combos very much. But anyway cool matches man, I think I will stick with Frank more smile.gif , but I need to get the connection fixed up first.

haha, i found it (the connection) quite ok though...dunno is it because i'm using a wiimote, adapted to the lag...or my router is pretty close to my wii (about 3 meters away only at most)

there were moments where my sis were using the internet though, but i think it only affected 3 matches out of those (just normal web browsing, so there were some lag spikes here and there)

i think one of the reasons i find you playing better is because you've been jumping a lot in comparison to last time...and also, you've been sometimes jumping away from me which makes me more difficult to get a hit to your characters

you've become better overall though...you played/ practiced before having this match with me?XD

and i do believe you've somehow learned the way i play from playing so many games with me...lol (there was a moment when i knew that because you've been playing so much with me that i predicted a lvl 1 from your saki and indeed you've done that with my character just standing on the ground...XD)

Yeah, I guess if I guard squatting I can block your Karas attacks on me and it worked fine for me I guess and I have been practicing with Frank more often and I used more moves rather than dropping a knee from the air all of a sudden. Sadly with the lag bugging me I can't pull off air combos on you at all. But yeah is not all about air combos I guess.

where did you practice off jon? training mode? that's a pretty good place to start and experiment combos...=)

however, after that, you'll need to play more games online and get a feel of the lag

as horrible as this may sound, but online lag is inevitable...you won't really get a lagless game at all even if you have the US people's connection

get used to the lag and you may be able to chain up your combos easier (of course, there are those moments where the lag is just horrible and you feel like quitting right after the match is over...=p)

Well yeah I practice through training mode and arcade mode as well, it works just as fine. Well yeah what can we expect from US connection, it wont be a smooth game at all.

You mentioned that wiimotes can somehow contribute to the lag, is that true? I never heard it before. Do you play with other controllers besides the mote? brows.gif

no, what i mean is that

even if you have a US based connection, you play among other US people too as well and you could experience button lag

anyway, wiimotes don't contribute to lag, but they perform better in lag, as most likely you don't need to have to deal with tight timings on certain moves...like if you want to use move A, but it came out as move B instead...but that most likely won't happen with a wiimote

if there's button lag, the moment i'll feel it is when i wall my opponent and combo them there...that's the place i'll most likely feel the lag as i'm using button inputs on a wiimote there...lol

Oh lol, I thought you're not coming online yesterday, sorry for the lack of communication. I usually play during Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays If I have the time. Ok, see you around tonight and next week I guess. smile.gif

And on a side note, I saw your post in Monster Hunter 3 earlier and you were talking with Steve. That's the guy I bought with this game and a CC controller. He's a really good and friendly business guy in JB so it should not be a problem if you wanna buy anything from him. He does it through Pos Laju and I think he is one of the trustworthy people you can deal with because he helped track my parcel the entire time when I ask him, so thumbs up for his service thumbup.gif

Are you going online tonight?? If not, give me a signal here.

Added on April 18, 2010, 10:57 pmlol, jon, there's really a lot of improvements in your saki...she's as hell annoying to fight like other good players i've fought out there online

whenever i'm able to cripple her...i think i'm pretty much able to take out your frank with higher chance (you did make some improvements with him in this game too...the zombies on the screen is like to the left, a cart, the right, a zombie coming out, in the middle, a falling zombie...=_=")

anyway, gg's...i think i lost 4 rounds there...and nearly lost another few there...especially the one with the silver of health on my ryu and you still got 2 chars more out there with pretty good health...miracle happened in that round...lol

another round that's worth mentioning was your frank using the level 3 on my ryu...i was kinda spotting that to happen and i kinda timed my tatsumaki when you use that move...haha

i think you really can guard my karas pretty well already...it's like so difficult to score a hit on you with him...=_="

Yeah I know how you will feel when I played Saki against you real annoying and kept on pouring out grenades, positron cannon, heavy shots and lvl 1 Hyper at right times. I think we had three real close fights and I was very ****! when your Ryu prioritize me with Tatsumaki so many times. You know that I sometimes use Frank's assust to cover Saki to load the Special Ammo Hyper right?? It was really good and Yes! Finally I'm able to deliver some Air Combos with Frank. yea, i had the thoughts that you felt pretty lag then

i was experiencing lag spikes, but not really bad lag...

still, it was laggier than usual though...XD

i did try and reset my connection after you quit, thinking that you would do the same, but you left after you quit the match...XD

oh well...anyway, i think another one of your usual habits is to megacrash whenever you are walled in...some of the attacks doesn't really need to be megacrashed...but, oh well...who knew the outcome if you didn't, right?XD

It's lag again that killed the entire matches, so I left, not Ninty problem related. It's really bad, I guess that there is no point playing now due to bad connection right now. (Damn Streamyx, you guys ****!) mad.gif

But, about the matches..... It's great but I could have done better, made very terrible mistakes here and there especially when you win back with Ryu's HP less than a quarter against Frank. Lag kinda kills the ability to play Frank properly.

maybe streamyx wants its users to upgrade to unifi...haha (5mbps, 10mbps and 20mbps)

but gosh, the price is just sooo expensive (rm 150, 200 and 250 respectively a month)

anyway, if you heard the news, streamyx is fixing some undersea cables and hence would have caused some service disruptions?

i play with the wiimote, jon plays with the CC pro i believe

the wiimote has its limitations...but if you are really competitive...you would not like anyone using the wiimote and you would not touch the wiimote either

the only good thing about the wiimote is that:
1) it drains your batteries slower
2) it performs better in lag

Yeah, I use the CC Pro, but about the battery draining issue I don't think its that bad. I used IKEA AA Batteries tongue.gif and it worked for quite some time. And undeniably yes the CC Pro is much much much harder to use than Wiimote.

You lost your BP? That's just bad luck and timing. Capcom is ignorant and lazy about this bug, aren't they going to fix it? It's giving the game a bad image here.

after he stopped, the game ran pretty smooth for me already...i hope that your end is pretty fine as well

and i must say that you really did improve a lot...maybe it's because you are so used to my playing style (nola, i believe you trained hard for it too)...XD...anyway, you really are able to put up some really good fights already...was so close to winning another match if my hadoken touched your frank before he used his megabuster...XD

anyway, there was one match you dced in the middle...(the very first match)...sup with that?haha

last note...saw my bp right?went back to a 50BP rookie...XD

yo ppl, i'm ready whenever you guys are...=)

Added on May 8, 2010, 11:34 pmlol, after that last match, i dced (comm error from WFC) and i'm unable to connect back into the game

the first round that we fought, i thought that you chose a "wrong" character, but looks like you've been meaning to play roll and had practiced out with her

anyway, your roll is okay...but you play frank better...i've fought before roll saki players before too...and their rolls are a lot more annoying than yours...especially with those constant puddles of water (try and use assist more if you have a roll as your secondary char)

the round that my karas vs your roll...i used a wrong special to counter your special...lol (maybe if i used another attack/special, i may get to avoid the attack, but yea)

the one where you used your level 3 and i countered with a tatsumaki was just awesome isn't it?=p

i can't connect at all...so, i'll go sleep...haha, nitez...=)

Strange, I can't connect either. Is Nintendo trying to update? I got the 61020 Error, you got the same one as well?

And yeah, I just started training with roll a few days ago and its not easy to pull off her long combo chains. I tried and good thing I can pull it off twice. lol, your Ryu really cancelled Roll's lvl3, guess it has higher priority than Roll's lvl 3 hyper.

nope, it's the invincibility frames that is the one that is taking priority

tatsumaki is a counter move, so it will have a slightly longer invincibility period when any characters are attacking

it's a little risky to use specials (physical) when in close distance against a ryu player as they can use the tatsumaki to avoid those attacks and counter it back

actually, all characters will have a short moment of invincibility frames whenever they are using there gauge attacks...but some are slightly longer such as zero's level 3 and rekkouha and ryu's tatsumaki.

yes, it's the same error...i doubt it's an update...more like probably a system/server error...which will get fixed with time...lol

Added on May 9, 2010, 11:31 pmhey jon, gg's...i dunno whether are you experiencing lag though...but i have some lag spikes here and there

the game is still playable anyway...so no worries...XD

other than that, must say that you really did improve a lot in comparison to the first time i've fought you online...your progress is just remarkable...^^b

now, i need to think of what you will do next and try to change my strategy and catch you offguard...XD

in one of the matches that the game dced...i wondered what happened...the game quits, but we are both still online

another thing about the match is that the funniest thing happened to me was that my karas won your frank with his harpoon when he just jumped in...that was like lol...

gg's...need to sleep...gotta wake up for work tml...XD

Nice man, I really enjoyed yesterday's games. But I still can't do well with Frank and Doronjo yet so I will keep on trying. It's nice that I used the Cross Counter move right? tongue.gif It really helps when my lead char is badly hurt and need to switch without the incoming char getting hurt. Maybe you could try using it against me? And one thing that still catches me off guard too many times is when your Karas teleports back and forth to attack me and I still have hard time dealing with that.

Just want to know, when do you usually play this game? Then I can roughly know when you will come online.

Added on May 14, 2010, 9:03 pmI might go online around 9:30. Anyone interested PM me right away, I'll give my FC.

Added on May 15, 2010, 9:22 pmToday I will be online again from 9:30 PM onwards. I'm looking forward to fight anyone here.

Oh hey Kyo, I'm afraid I only have Lostwanderer as my friend for friend matches only sad.gif It seems that this game does not have enough people playing in South East Asia region. My problem with this game is the FC system they used for this game's online feature and it's rather hard to play with players from far away regions, the lag is quite bad for me but I don't know why it is like this. How I wish my internet connection is much faster. Btw, I live on Malaysia.

Oh yeah Lostwanderer, if tomorrow you're free for a game, give me message here. smile.gif

anyway, hope to see your new skills soon...^^b

Added on May 28, 2010, 5:57 pmhey jon,

this may be bad news to ya...

i've already managed to get my hands on some new games...and a new PC

the games are:

trauma center
monster hunter tri
super mario galaxy 2
phoenix wright 3 (near completion)
and the latest DLC for wiiware for the 1st phoenix wright (5th chapter)

and my new pc will be arriving really soon (like either this sat/sun)...and i already have supreme commander 2 waiting for me there...so i doubt that i'll have time to play TVC anytime in the near future

hopefully we'll get a few matches up next time though...but not anytime soon i believe...XD

hope you still enjoy TvC...or you could play the above mentioned wii games i've recommended for ya to pass your time too...=)

been fun playing with ya...wink.gif

Ok, If you want to have a match anytime, just drop a message to me. I don't mind when you're going for a match with me, I have other things to do besides the Wii lol tongue.gif

Prince of Persia lah. tongue.gif

Anyways, I had one of the best times in Singapore playing TvC over the arcade. what a simple 4 button game that I really had a blast doing combos and cancels. But was puzzled on how to do 2 player Hyper combo.

Didn't use baroque, and was happy using Ryu and Batsu. I should really get my black wii asap and a copy. hehe.

Hey, how are you doing? well yeah, I have been digging up some old and new games to play on the PC while for the Wii I just bought Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Trauma Team as well, I played both and loved it in its own ways. Otherwise nothing much new. I'm currently waiting for Dead Rising 2 for the PC coming in the end of August, so here's a suggestion for you as well.

It's not exactly 100% FPS, it's more like GTA whereby it is a Sandbox mode game but instead zombies and psychopaths are your enemies and there is a deep story to this one this time compared to Dead Rising 1 where the plot is more ridiculous. Tons of zombies to kill man! brows.gif

I should start saving up some money just to buy it, but I'm worried my computer is not powerful enough to run it. And what's more, it got delayed until late September cry.gif

About Conduit, I never played it before but I heard it is some sort of a FPS right?? How's the game like? Good? Average or Bad? well, game critics said that its really bad for the story and all...but to be honest, i was just done with MW2...and i dun know the story at all what was happening...most of the time...lol

quite a handful of people like the online matches though...but...there are spawn bugs and hackers around...making it less enjoyable than it should be

as for conduit 2...so far, many people who had seen it at E3 was saying that it is looking pretty good at the moment...

My supremely brief review of TvC on the Wii. biggrin.gif

Finally, after knowing germany won 4-0. I had to do something. So, i ripped one of our LYN members game (that I promise will lower the price. tongue.gif) and decided to play. My thoughts?

FANTASTIC. But, with a downside.

The controls were wonderful and supremely easy to pick up. Since i have been in love with fighting games, it actually annoyed to a certain extent. It felt like things were too easy, but I had to do somethings to change it. Holding the wii remote only horizontally was not good for me. So, i added a nunchunk. That was much better. laugh.gif

Characters were really fun to use. Comparing my experience on the arcade with this one, it feels completely and nothing has changed. Graphics were CRISPY SMOOTH. But still, gameplay was the main highlight and I digged that skyhigh.

I tried online and play, but sadly, my experience was slightly laggy. But still, incredibly fun. so, no grips there. biggrin.gif

I tried looking for Frank West, but I guess I had to buy him or unlock him some other way. I couldn't find any minigames, but I guess that needs unlocking too.

Overall, if you gave me a stick while playing this, I'M DAMN HAPPY. Can't wait to get my Black Wii and this game soon. biggrin.gif The experience is going to be fantastic! biggrin.gif

lol...i hope that fella doesn't mind you ripping his game...and also...maybe you've won in that germany match (extra income)...XD

adding a nunchuck does nothing much to the controller scheme...try playing it with a gc controller or a cc pro...the controls become arcade-like...lol

those things you were looking for needs unlocking...win the single player game mode, earn zenny and go to the shop channel to purchase (minigames)

as for characters, win the game once (with selected reps from either tat's side to unlock tat's char, and vice versa for capcom's side (once and 3 times each respectively)

But Hori Stick. tongue.gif

But I can guarantee that Classic Controler is enuff. Its not complex enuff to do the combos. Just you need good finger work.

try using CC with karas online...it's pretty hard...to be honest, i find it pretty difficult to use skills too during offline battles...but karas is a beast on wiimote...there are a lot of people saying that wiimote is a bad control scheme...well, it really depends how much you push it i guess...mostly its due to the players...not the "limiting" control scheme...

What about wiimote + nunchuk? Is it bad too? I never tried it before but you could try using it. I'm using CC Controller but it takes time to get accustomed to it. Feels more better with it but it depends on you in the end which controller you like most.

Wiimote and nunchunk makes things very easy. A button means you can attack weak medium and strong attacks in strings by 3 button presses. Then the B button would be your special moves (Hadoken etc) by pressing it and a direction on the nunchunk.

Supers are done with A+B together. The control scheme is way too simple for my liking (its like a brother to the Easy Operations for Capcom Vs SNK 2 for the Gamecube in the past). But it will definitely make fighting more fun for those who just started venturing into the fighting genre.

wiimote only and wiimote + nunchuck is not a big difference, furthermore, if you go wiimote only...you save a lot on batteries too as well

Have been playing this recently again for two weeks, got 2000 BP now, it's really fun meeting all sorts of people online (Except those annoying Zero users and rage quitters after I somehow manage to beat them lol)
