What do you mean by Ps3 is replacing the PS2? PS3 is already out for quite sometime now where have you been? And in fact Xbox360s have replaced original XBoxes even before, that is around the year 2005.

ps3 already out in the market and xbox 360 is out way earlier than ps3... so that is new system...so now u can get xbox as cheap as 300 2nd hand....

The ps3 launch just happened not too long ago, but that launch was like about 2 years late

If the x360 does launch here, it'll be about 4 years too late hahaha. Look, eventually it will get replaced, just like every other console and/or mechanical/electrical device. However, it's pretty much in the sweet spot right now, where some absolutely awesome games are coming out for it, and hopefully Jasper too. Just like the PS2, when this x360 gets superceded, I'm sure it'll still have some staying power purely due to the quality of content, and because of how established the Live system is.

So in a nutshell, get hands on a proper unmodded Jasper system when it's available, plug to a HD/HD-ready big screen, source games/friends from LYN + GH, and you're golden.

jasper is the codename for the much-awaited re-engineered version of the x360 which will feature 65nm tech for both the CPU and GPU. The original Xenons (like mine) have 90nm for both chips, and the Falcon revision has a 65nm CPU with a 90nm GPU.

Basically, the 65nm process is meant to result in a more efficient chip, meaning less heat generated. Hopefully the cost reductions in producing the smaller chip will trickle down to the consumer too. But apparently jasper units aren't out yet, and who know when they'll get to our shores.

it would be great if u can wait for jasper cos it might offer cure to 3rod... but if u cant wait.... just join the party.. hahaha

i think if u want to buying xbox360 now.. go on.... go for the 60gb... the falcon mobo running great! mine almost one year... but the important thing...
