with that proc in order to run 1:1 you have to set ur dram speed meaning ur ram speed double to ur fsb in ur bios. I can see now ur running ur fsb at 378mhz so try settin ur ur dram speed to 756 in bios. But why do you wanna run 1:1 in the first place? 1:1 does not always mean better performance. For me 5:6 is better then 1:1

oh.. i see.. so now, mt timing is 5.5.5.15... it is a good timing?? i think i can go for 4.4.4.11.... which one better??

bro try running 5:6 increase ur fsb till 4++ ur timing let loose for now. Me running 430 fsb and 1032mhz 5-5-5-15. Imo if ur running amd timing is a really big deal but not so for c2d. Higher ram speed equals higher performance in my case. After u get the highest fsb and ram speed u can then start tightening ur timings hope this helps smile.gif

okey bro... thanks a lot... this is my 1st overclock... that's why so noob.. hehe... this is just for fun.. i know i can push more than this... but this mobo not quite stable in high FSB... but i try... what mobo you using now bro cal83??

if u wan 1:1 ratio, u hav 2 set multiplier to 2.
but u usually do dat it u OC fsb beyond the speed ur RAM can handle.
i c ur ram multiplier is set to 2.6 which bring ur ram speed to 378*2.4=453.6*2
i'll say its kinda waste since ur ram can do @ least 1066. u can set ur ram multiplier to 3.0

EP45-DS3 shud v able 2 OC ~ 500.
if it is not stable, i suspect other stuff lke ram voltage & vcore.

& 1 last thing, next time, use "prin screen" button on ur keyboard............................ icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks bro.. but, i have a lot of prob when oc thingy... i dunno where it wrong..

1. i can set my FSB until 378. can't pas even 400...
2. i dunno in this bios where i can find for northbridge voltage... ( see pic )
3. scare to increase too much voltage... hehehe... sweat.gif what can actually happen if too much voltage??

can you guide me bro... soo nooob... thanks a lot...

thanks guys for the guide... i can oc my e8400 to 3.6Ghz at timing 4.4.4.11 with FSB:DRAM = 1:1... maybe this proc can go any further clock... i tried oc to 4.0Ghz but when i tun Intel burn test, it not pass & so stable...

if you guys have tried until 4.0Ghz, or best timing RAM rate, can you all share with me how to do... i appreciate it... notworthy.gif

thanks again..

after increase some voltage, i can oc to 3.8Ghz... i think this is the limit bcoz maybe this mobo can't reach 4.0Ghz... and the temp also on load can reach 72c with Intel burn test... and with ram timing 4.4.4.12.... i really satisfy with this value.. rclxm9.gif

well, thanks guys... solute... notworthy.gif
